Affordable Venues in North Jersey

Mariam, on January 8, 2014 at 3:07 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

My fiancé and I are looking to get married in November (is this off-season?) and we are searching for affordable venues in North Jersey. We plan on having 250-350 guests, and plan on having an open bar. Any suggestions would be appreciated Smiley smile Please include price ranges pp if you have them.

Hi! I'm in Central Jersey. Our venue is in Somerset, NJ at The Palace. Our price was $125/pp for a Friday night 125 guests. November is out of wedding season so that will help you. On this site search vendors, enter your zip code and it will pull up alot of different venues. The issue is you have a very large guest list and NJ is expensive for weddings as is. What is the budget you were looking to stay under?

Hi everyone! With such a large number of guests, we are trying to keep costs down as much as possible because we are a young couple and don't have much money. The problem is we are Egyptian and traditionally our wedding has to be lavish…

Also, I have heard mixed reviews about the Fiesta. Anyone have anything to say about that venue? I heard they renovated but I'm not sure how recent

Sundays are always cheaper and yes that's off peak season so you'll save more. Look into the Westwood in Garwood. The gave us $15 off for being off peak and doing ours on a Sunday. Plus they gave us the place to ourselves instead of booking another wedding at the same time. Good luck.

Hate to tell you November is now included in wedding season for all the venues we looked at. we originally wanted November 23 but the pp was about $50-100 more then February. Also you have a large guest list so it is easier to talk down the price. Halls have a bottom number in mind. We are getting married at the westmount country club minimum of 150 people at $135 plus tax and service charge. For Nov they wanted $185. Another example Nanninas on the Park for Nov want $310 and for Feb $175. Shop around and dont be afraid to bargain with them. Most places we went to for Nov was $150-200. Also just saw you need a Sunday that will definitely help in lowering the cost

@Vanesa R.: OMG- Nannina's wants 310?!?! I'm sorry that is freaking ridiculous! The freaking Waldorf Astoria quoted me 315 a person!!! That is just crazy there is no planet in which Nanina's should be quoting ANYTHING over 250. Sidenote- My cousin got married at the Westmount like 5 years ago...still the best wedding I've ever been to hands down!

Seriously - $310?!? I priced out the Liberty House in Jersey City and thought they were expensive - and they were NOWHERE NEAR $310.

    Richfield Regency in Verona NJ

    Perona Farms in Andover

I can't remember official prices, but I think they were quoting me at less than $130 a head.

What about Waterside in North Bergen? I went to a christening there a couple of weekends ago (as well as an engagement party about a year ago) and I really love it! The place is beautiful and it has fantastic views of the city! I don't know how large their capacity is hmmm...

**They do up to 250 :/

That's INSANE about Nanina's! We checked them out over the summer for a Friday/Sunday wedding in September 2015 and they quoted us $140 for a Friday & $155 for a Sunday.

What about Seasons? They priced us $125 for a Friday & $130 for a Sunday.

I looked at fiesta for 2015. The outside isn't great but once you walk in it is beautiful! I am actually booking it! The prices are reasonable if you give me an email I can send U the prices for 2015.

Season's was the other venue we considered bec we have been to a bunch of weddings at Venetian but when i brought my parents there to see it the guy was very rude so that was it for that place. I asked Nanina's if they hand out gold as part of the wedding the guy just looked at me. like i said venues have a bottom line price they want to make so depending on the # of people and time of year they will change the price per head.

thats so exciting to hear about westmount! i cant wait Smiley smile

I'm getting married at Bridgewater Manor in Bridgewater, NJ. They do deals pretty often and we were able to snag a $88 pp deal for a Friday night in June! That was of course for their cheaper package but perfect for us. Good luck!!!
