Affordable, simple, classy South Florida beach ceremony/reception venue

Lindsay, on July 2, 2017 at 8:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hi everyone. My fiancé and I are determined to have a south Florida beach wedding, but don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. We've looked at the big hotels - they're great but very expensive. We started looking at state parks on the beach, with pavilions and gazebos for reception - but I'm not thrilled with the idea of having to hire each vendor/option separately and coordinating that from afar (we currently live in Virginia).

Any ideas about affordable venues right on the beach. How about renting an entire restaurant or large indoor/outdoor party room ? Grateful for anyyyyyy opinions or pointers. Thanks!

What is your budget? Guest count. I'm in South Florida and currently planning our wedding for April.

    Same questions as HisBeauty.

We are getting married in Cocoa Beach in November. Our venue is a hotel there. Super happy with how it is all coming together. Would like to know more about what youre thinking.

I'm paying $3,800 for a beach venue in Lake Worth called Lake Worth Casino. It's not an all-inclusive, so you'll have to assemble your own vendor team but I think it's reasonably priced for south Florida.

Check out Shuckers on Hutchinson Island. I know they do weddings. I can't imagine they would be that expensive. Right on the beach and I've seen photos of beautiful weddings there. You can also rent a room out in the restaurant.

I am going to recommend you at least search up the vendor Small Miami Weddings. They normally work on beach weddings and with customers out of state or even out of the country.

Those all sound like great possibilities, everyone ! Right now, we're focusing on Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood beach. We just got some really great info about packages that are offered by the Florida state parks. There is one in Fort Lauderdale and one in Dania Beach. We are probably going to visit the one in Dania Beach because they'll host the ceremony right on the beach, at the water's edge and they offer comprehensive packages. Just waiting to see if they can accommodate more than 80 people (their package says up to 80). They offer a diamond package that costs 11,500 plus tax and gratuity. That sounds like a great option. However, all outside!

We are not too sure about the budget at this point because we're waiting to hear about family contribution (so much fun...). In the meantime, we're saving on our own. If we like a place that is let's say $20,000, then we might just put the wedding off for another 6 months to a year so that we can save that amount.
