Affordable California Wedding Venues?!

Melissa, on December 13, 2013 at 1:37 AM Posted in Planning 0 14

Hi! I'm recently engaged and wanting to get on the ball. I live in Central California but open to doing my wedding anywhere in California. Prefer to go down south or maybe Northern California. Really, just anywhere besides Central California! My budget is about $10,000 and ideally I'd like to find a venue that's outdoors and includes most of the big items (food, flowers, dj, cake, etc). Any recommendations would be great!! Thank you!

I don't know how far Central you are. But in Silicon Valley... there is a place called Freedom Hall and Gardens. They hold up to 250 but I don't think that includes a dance floor.

If you think that's an area you would consider, take a look at the website. They have menu and package pricing shown.

You might also want to look into wineries near Livermore. Wente is one that comes to mind, but that might be over budget.

I live in Redding, CA and there's a few places here that will fit your budget.

I know of a gorgeous place called Monte Verde, Auburn CA that my Matron did hers at and I loved it! They do the food, cake, booze and even Centerpieces...the price depends on number of guests. It's an outdoor wedding and reception and it wasn't too hot either.

Edited for "live" not "lovel lol...

The Ryde Hotel http://www.rydehotel.com or the grand island mansion

http://grandislandmansion.com/weddings.html are beautiful. Both in the Sacramento area. Lots of beautiful wineries in Sonoma and Napa as well.

I agree with the Livermore, Sonoma, and Napa wineries. I'm not sure exactly where you are, but Lodi has some wineries as well. Central California is pretty big, give us a city to help narrow it down!

ETA: Never mind, I just re-read it and saw that you don't want to be in Central California. I think the suggestions above are pretty good! Another great place would be Tahoe.

Check into the Wedgewood facilities. The Wedgewood weddings I’ve been to are at nice locations and have budget friendly packages.

I live in Central California too!! Santa Barbara area....good luck finding anything under $10k. We are headed to (almost) AZ to save some $$.

The vineyards out here are about 3-6K for a venue fee and $30-$45 per plate....so for our 150 person wedding we were looking at close to 8k just for eating somewhere....

I'm interested to see what other people have to say...

Megan – I always considered SB still SoCal, do most people consider it Central? I’m in Ventura, CA. We have some venues in our area that you could do for 10k.

I just saw you’re getting married in Blythe! I travel there for work. You definitely are going the distance! Lol.

Well, I'm a little north of SB (Solvang to be exact) and I consider it Central Ca and so does the local news..LOL.

We thought about Ventura, but now my STD's are in the mail, so no turning back! Smiley smile

Megan – oh yeah Solvang would be more Central. My Dad lives in SB and still refers to himself as SoCal, lol. I loveeeee Solvang! Such a cute little town, and we love pea soup Andersons : ) Yeah we were married in Ojai, CA but I know Ventura has some great and affordable venues. Yeah w/ Blyth your almost to the Cali border!

Mrs. K – I guess it’s the border of Southern and Central California. USCB, great and beautiful school : )

Mrs. K, my little sister went to UCSB and loved it! We're from the Modesto area so we always considered it Southern California, but we also considered ourselves Central California even though lots would consider us Northern. Then again, it's in the Central Valley so maybe that's why! It's funny how much debate there is over who is in which region.

LillyBride – it’s just weird for me to consider it Central when I’m only a 40 minute drive and considered SoCal. But whether it’s SoCal or Central SB and that general area is gorgeous and a wonderful place to live, so it doesn’t really matter, lol.
