Advice on Wedding Venue Prices in Suffolk for 2018

ImSoExcited2018, on November 5, 2017 at 9:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

I recently got engaged Smiley smile and we're looking to get married in Suffolk county next Fall of 2018. We started to look at some venues on the North Folk and scenic places for a Sunday wedding, around 75-100 people. The estimates provided are over $215 a person plus tax. I would love some advice/thoughts on whether that's the standard pricing, etc.

Pretty standard for an all inclusive venue that's nice.

That sounds about average for all inclusive on Long Island.

Thanks for the responses thus far! One of my friends paid $230 a person for NYC + tax at a rooftop venue, so it compelled me to get opinions.

We're getting married on a Friday for under $130 pp, just depends on what type of venue you want Smiley smile

I'd look into a Friday or Sunday wedding, most venues provide the same amenities for less.

I'm paying $150 pp plus 22% and 8.625% tax in Nassau County so that sounds about standard.

    ETA: My pricing is off-peak.

Did you look at the East Wind? They have an all inclusive package that's pretty good.

I am paying 85++ (about 110 pp) in Suffolk County. This includes photographer, dj, cake, florist, limo, venue, catering, full open bar. North Fork in summer/fall is going to be EXPENSIVE. I got a quote for Giorgio's in Baiting Hollow and the summer pricing was almost double winter pricing. It was absurd. The wineries are all really expensive but I believe Bairing Hollow Vineyard is the cheapest of those and only holds smaller weddings (which would be okay for you). I would highly reccommend looking into the Lessing's venues. They are great venues, many of which offer all inclusive packages. They also have small minimuns, which you may also run into that problem on LI. Many venues have minimums of 125-175 people. I am guarenteeing 100 people at my lessing's venue but many of them do smaller minimums for Saturday day weddings. https://www.lessings.com/corporate/weddings
