Advice needed!

Hello everyone!
I am seeking advice for my situation. My husband and I got married in the courthouse July 2019 with a plan to have a destination wedding in a year. Little did we expect for a pandemic to ruin those plans and we have unfortunately cancelled the destination wedding. It has always been a dream of mine to have a wedding and walk down the aisle. But at this point in time it seems that we are jumping through many hoops to try and make a wedding work (limited funds, large family, timing). I don’t really know whether to move on and have a wedding as planning a wedding during a pandemic just seems too risky considering the loss we took cancelling our destination wedding. I already bought my wedding dress and my husband already put a down payment on his tux. We did have the chance to have wedding photos so I was thinking of just doing a photoshoot on our upcoming anniversary. I am really confused and disappointed during this time. Any advice you have would be great!

Have you ever thought of having a micro wedding, a lot of venues may have a special for couples that still want to have a wedding with a limited number of guests, but if thats a no go, there's nothing wrong with a little old photoshoot.

If it’s a dream of yours don’t give up because you will always wish for it. An idea would be to have a ceremony with just your closet most dear people and have a photo shoot as well. If a family member or friend has a nice large outdoor space at their home you could create your own ceremony space and it wouldn’t be expensive.

I love the anniversary photo shoot idea!! Smiley heart
Another WeddingWire bride named Amy just shared her wedding portraits taken after their wedding that arrived just in time for their 1st anniversary:

I also like the idea of doing an intimate ceremony with special unity elements! You could keep the guest list small and still do something really special!
