Addressing envelopes?

Ladies and brides to be, how are you addressing your invitations? I don't know if I can have addresses printed directly on the envelopes for the invitations (using weddingpaperdivas). My writing is notoriously sloppy, so handwriting is out. Did everyone send the envelopes through a printer? Clear labels? Are clear address labels tacky? Can I just take the envelopes and my spreadsheet to Kinkos?

I did clear labels and they worked out great!

We used Minted and they turned out great! And it was only $25 for 80 envelopes. But they don't print the return address on the back so we just bought a custom stamp for that.

I wrote ours by hand in a thick black felt tip pen. They looked nice BUT I'm not sure I would do it again. I would probably pay extra to have them printed on the envelopes. It's not exactly the same as writing out a bunch of Christmas cards-- there is so much more pressure to do them perfectly for a wedding and so it's less fun/relaxing.

A friend had these beau you wrap around labels. They were really elegant looking. I think I may do those too. I hand wrote my STDs but ended up scraping a lot of envelopes because I didn't like my writing on them.

My envelopes are navy so I'm using clear labels with white writing

We had ours printed by the designer on etsy we used. They turned out gorgeous!

I am doing the wrap around stickers. I think they look better than clear and my handwriting is awful. I spent over a half hour last night just practice writing before I even touched our envelopes. Than realized that since they are a dark gold shimmer envelope the black ink doesn't pop off the page like I want it to. I am going to use a dark purple wrap around band with white font.

I personally don't prefer labels, but do what you gotta do. Printing directly on the envelopes at home is a cheaper option. I found someone on etsy doing a 'flash sale' for 25 cents an envelope.

I'm going to use clear labels and don't care haha. I hand wrote my STDs and wasn't happy so I'm saving myself the hassle and aggravation.

If mine hadn't been printed by Minted, I probably would have done address labels. I wrote out my STD addresses by hand and it took forever.

The plan is to hand-write addresses. My handwritten work notes are completely illegible, even to me sometimes, but when I take the time to write things out, I like the look of it. Trying to find the perfect custom stamp for return addresses, though. There's only so much I'm willing to do, lol.

I printed mine at home with a fancy big font in grey and then traced with a calligraphy pen so it looks like handwritten calligraphy

I'm doing clear labels. I'm not a huge fan of them but they aren't super noticeable and there is no way I'm hand addressing 130 invites. I might try running a few envelopes through my work printer and see how they turn out. I'm at the IDGF stage with invites.

I hate my handwriting and was going to have one or two of my bridesmaids do it but I got impatient and just did it myself. Plus, no one pays that much attention to envelopes. With that being said, I also didn't address them formally. Just "The ____ Family" mostly.

EDIT: As for RSVP envelopes, I forgot to have our address printed on them at checkout so I printed them off myself using a template on Microsoft

We printed directly on the envelopes at home. I'm lazy and didn't even want to deal with sticking the labels on!!!

I have the same problem. I had someone address our STDs, but wasn't thrilled with it for the price. Does anyone think it's weird to just order the envelopes w/ recipient addressing from minted, but actual invitation/design from WPD? I just prefer the design we picked out on WPD.

If you plan on printing envelopes yourself, order extra. Many invitation vendors now offer addressing services. Ask your vendor if they have a mail list template you will need to submit.

For my stds, I just feed them through my printer at home, but it took forever and some got messed up so I had to buy extra envelopes.

For my invitations, I used clear Avery labels and found a pretty design. I liked that much better

I haven't thought about invitations yet, but we are getting our STDs from the David's Bridal website. They print guest addresses and the return address on the envelopes (for a fee).

FMIL teaches tech and offered to print them for us. Was definitely looking at labels and a stamp (for return address) though
