Adding to my wedding dress

Help!
i bought my dress awhile ago and I love it SO much but I feel like it needs something. I’m adding a slit to it & it also has pockets! I just want it to have some beading or floral things going on. I haven’t talked to a seamstress yet because I want to make sure I know what I want before I go in there, because what if I end up hating what we add on 😂 I just don’t even know what to do. I have a few ideas in the pictures I really would love any help or ideas anyone has. Also the first two pictures are my dress as you can see it’s that very shimmery champagne color / silky material so I don’t know what to add

I wouldn't mess with it! If you do decide to add things, make sure you look at photos of a dress with the same material. Your dress is satin (or silky) and your inspo photos are tulle based dresses. It will be completely different. I'm of the opinion that a gorgeous dress like yours makes a statement on it's own without the embellishments. Leave it! Get some binged out accessories instead.

I agree I’d leave it.. maybe a belt to add a little detail but it’s beautiful

I think a gorgeous belt and jewelry would be perfect. If you try to add too much it might take away from the elegance of the dress.

You could add beading to the bodice neckline if you want but a blingy belt would accomplish the same thing and cost less than paying a seamstress to bead your dress.

I would try different blingy belts before you have anything added to it permanently. I think it's gorgeous just the way it is, but if you feel like something is missing, I would try a belt or jewelry first!!

Amazon has some awesome belts for WAY cheaper then the bridal salons do. I would just go with a belt. The style of the dress might loose that classic clean look if you add other things to the dress itself.

Your dress is really beautiful Dannie! I think part of its beauty is its simplicity.

I think a belt would be a great solution for you! Also, it means you can try lots of different ones to find the right one without making changes to your dress!

Have you chosen any jewelry that you would like to wear?

A minimal belt would look incredible with your dress. I managed to snag one at JJs House for $10!

I 100% agree with PP’s that a blinged out belt would look great and you could get some statement jewelry.

A belt can totally change the look of a dress and will cost you much less.

I think if you add anything, try something that can easily be removed, such as an overskirt

Your dress is really similar to mine (although my fabric is different). I’m adding a cathedral veil with lace edging to “dress it up”. But I agree with the other posters that you could add a belt. Statement Jewelry should help too!

What about a floral lace veil with a little sparkle?

Sparkly belt and necklace, and get a detailed veil to finish it off with beads or crystals or whatever it is you like. Smiley smile

I would leave it as is. The fabric is so pretty, I think if you add bling to the dress it would take away from that. Instead, I would go all out with blingy jewelry.
