Adding thicker straps to wedding dress

Chelsea, on August 11, 2019 at 8:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
Has anyone added straps or made straps thicker on their dress? If so would you mind telling me how much it cost and posting a picture? Mine has spaghetti strap but I think I want something thicker for a little more support! I’m just worried it may not look right

I had these added to my dress and I love how it looks. I think it was about $40.

Hey Chelsea!! Adding straps is totally doable. Have you discussed this with your seamstress? I don’t imagine that it would be very expensive if this is the only alteration that you are getting to your dress. It will fluctuate depending on your specific dress and the material that will be used for your straps.

    What is your dress like?

My dress is really fitted with a beaded top. Right now it has spaghetti straps, but I want something with a little more support and coverage.

It shouldn't cost more than $50 I would guess. If you are getting it shortened they might can use the fabric from the dress. Talk with your seamstress.
