Adding Drama to Wedding Dress?

A, on February 13, 2018 at 3:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

So I am pretty sure I love my dress. I have tried it on twice now and cried each time because it made me feel so pretty. The thing is, I never really noticed how plain the back of the dress is. I actually didn't even look at the back during my first appointment. Actually seeing it in pictures makes me feel underwhelmed. Is there any way to beautify it a little or is it okay as is? I picked a plain veil too with a satin edge because it matched the attached satin "belt" at the waist. So confused.

I think the dress is perfect as is! I think it is elegant and beautiful- you could always look for a necklace that comes down in the back but I don't think it is necessary

I love it! With a dress like that - I would wear my hair down and have a pretty hair piece in the back or side to add some glam.

Your dress is gorgeous. Is it a corset back? What about a colored ribbon instead of the white ribbon?

I think it's beautiful the way it is. Maybe add a fancier veil if you really need more in the back.

I wouldn’t be concerned with the back. Are you wearing your hair down or half down? It won’t be visible with your hair and most people will see you from the front.

I guess I am so used to seeing beading or lace down the back and around the train. Started to think mine is a little too plain, but I didn’t like any of the lace dresses when I tried them on. Tempted now to find a beaded veil.

I am planning on wearing my hair half up/down. Undecided on having a hair clip/comb, but that would probably look nice. Thanks for the suggestions!

Your dress isn't plain, it's beautiful. Many times simplicity is far more beautiful than beading and lace.

True! I’ve never been much of a girly girl, so that’s probably why I was drawn to this dress instead of one with more embellishment. Just home my FH likes it now. And I can get the back altered a bit for more of a U back shape.
