Adding Buttons to My Wedding Dress

We would need pictures to make accurate estimate. But a seamstress would probably be better help.

It depends on the size of the buttons and how far apart they are. I would measure the length of 10 buttons from the part of the dress that has them, and use that to estimate how much you need for the rest of the dress (for example if 10 buttons takes up 7 inches, and you have 49 inches of dress that needs buttons, you would need about 70 more buttons)

Look at the distance between the buttons and use that to determine how many you'll need.

Are you putting them over the top of the zip? Or actually taking the zip out altogether? Just be aware that the zip is likely providing a certain about of stability/shaping, so taking it out might make it less secure. There might also be some gaping when you move/bend.
