Activity bags for kids

Married, on April 7, 2013 at 11:14 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13

We're having a total of 3 kids at the wedding (Flower girl, ring bearers)

I wanted to put some little activity bags together for them to help keep them occupied during dinner. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions on what to put in them?

I am so interested in the responses here too! I have 10 kids (and 5 babies) coming and they need to be occupied! Lol.

I think we are expecting about 8 little ones.. and we will be doing activity bags. We haven't bought anything yet, but here are our ideas:

    - Activity books from oriental trading (I've never bought from there before.. not really my style, but they are cute little wedding themed ones with crayons)

    - Goldfish crackers and/or fruit snacks

    - Glow bracelets! Smiley smile

    - Stickers? (Could get messy if they stick them to things they shouldn't..)

I didn't have activity bags, but I did buy each kids a colouring book and some crayons, they loved it during dinner while they had to sit still

I made bags for kids. Each one had a activity sheet I designed on Vistaprint, a small notebook, crayons, a colored pen, gummy snacks, suckers, stickers, glow in the dark bracelets, and small toys that were age and gender appropriate. They went over really well. The kids loved having stuff to do.

They all sound great - and Oriental trading has very good products. I'm hiring a balloon/face painter for my kids' table and they will also have those gift kits from oriental trading and will get plenty of treats from the candy station. The neon trinkets are a great idea and would be fun for dancing.

That's so sweet of you! I think Sarah has some great ideas, and if you wanted to just put huge sheets of paper over their table and put our crayons, that could be fun and cheap

Coloring pages, word find pages, maze pages, crayons. Bubbles, balls, frizbee, glow necklace, cups with the screw on top and that have the straw built in.

We have a room for bigger kids to play their handheld video games and a sitter for little ones.

Jeez! We are expecting around 50 kids. That seems like a lot compared to you ladies! I'm actually setting up a long banquet table and covering it with butcher paper. The kids will be able to draw right on the table. I'm also putting crayons, stickers, snacks, juice boxes, etc on the table. Ive seen a couple of activity booklets on pinterest with wedding crosswords, word searches, coloring pages, etc and we will have those on the table also. I'm going to do whatever I can to occupy those kids for as long as possible!

We put coloring pages, crayons, and random toys (kaleidecopes, mini pinwheels, finger puppets, etc) and stickers into little paper lunch bags for the kids.

I actually found some on oriental trading that were too cute NOT to get (even though i'm only having like 4 kids from the BP there). They had a wedding color book and crayons. i would check them out, they weren't very expensive at all!
