Accommodations for Remote Venues on Wedding Website

Your wording sounds great! My venue is also a bit out of town (about 20 minutes from the hotel's we've blocked so we'll be providing transportation.) Here's my wording for airbnb

Here's another suggestion if you did want to mix up the wording -

Mt. Woodson Castle is located approximately 25 minutes away from the closest hotel. For alternative accommodations, check out rental properties on VRBO or Airbnb.

Maybe then you could provide a link to Airbnb and VRBO rental properties in the general area where your ceremony is! Something like this, maybe:

Airbnb Properties Near Mt. Woodson Castle

That way you guests can quickly pop on over to those sites to check out lodging and don't have to put the location info in - it will already be done for them

Are you offering transportation from your wedding block to the venue? If you are not I would make that very clear. I always book at the hotel wedding block because it means transportation, but if that isn't the case - especially with the hotel being so far away - guests need to know so they can make appropriate decisions about getting the hotel and/or coming to the wedding.

Good point. I haven’t fully decided if we will provide transportation or not. The hotel charges $1,000 for their shuttle and I am not expecting that many people to stay there (most of our guests are local). I’ve also considered doing an Uber event code but since my venue is on the outskirts of town I am not sure if there will be Uber’s around after the wedding. Regardless of what I decide I will make sure to mention it so there are no assumptions.
