A 10 Dollar Wedding Dress Anyone?

Jenni G., on July 6, 2009 at 6:37 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

This is fricken' amazing.. and I'm so tempted to try it out as my reception dress just because it would be super comfortable. Anyone want to borrow me a sewing machine??

    Why couldn't you?

the only reason I'm worried is because I'm a larger girl and I worry I'd need like 15 t shirts lol

That is pretty cool, my only concern would be how seethrough is it?

I had thought about the see throughness too, but I'd probably wear a slip/body shaper underneath anyway

This is so sweet....Ive been layed off for 2 months and was worrying about the wedding in general not to mention the dress (probably wouldve just gone to Goodwill Ha ha) but I can totally do this. Or actually my moh has seamtress experience and has a sewing machine...Im excited to see how it turns out and if it doesnt look right on me then I wont feel bad cuz I spent so little... Thanks JLGsquared!!!

This would be great for a summer/beach dress...I think I'm going to give it a try--not as my wedding dress but just as a beach dress or swim suit coverup... Maybe use something other than white so it wouldnt be so thin...of course, you can buy some good white t-shirts that arent super thin...but I do believe you'd be at more than $10 if you bought the nice white t-shirts... Might be cheaper to buy some cotton sheets and go from there... hmmm..ideas....

I was also wondewring about the see thoughness and if you sweat.....

i also like the idea ablut trying it as a swim cover up. my mom is a great seamstress and is always trying to teach me to sew this could be a great start, the last time i tried to sow a tank top it turned into a bag.....

i wana hear how it turns out if someone else does this too
