6:30 ceremony

Monica, on February 13, 2020 at 10:58 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
We found a venue that has everything we want. However the earliest they can do a ceremony is 6:30. Thoughts? Timelines?

I think that’s a good time line. Mine starts at 5 and honestly I wish I choose a later time. For you it would be 630-7 ceremony. 7-8 cocktail hours and 8-1230 partyyyy timeee. That’s perfect. It’s gives people who may have to work that day the option to come after work or atleast make the reception in time to celebrate with you into the evening.

My ceremony starts at 6:30 too! We plan on 6:30-7:00 ceremony, 7-8 cocktail hour, dinner is served at 8:15 I believe, and our reception ends at 1 am (which is late but my group of guests like to party and stay late to events as is anyway). Ours is on a Saturday

I think it's fine but could pose a challenge for photos depending on where you live. I see your wedding is in January. January for us the sun would be down by 6 p.m. so you would need to do all your photos (so a first look) before the ceremony as you'd be out of daylight.

My ceremony starts at 6:30 as well. The only thing you would have to consider is doing a first look if you want daylight pictures. The sun sets pretty early that time of year (depending where you're located) If you want "golden hour " photos you'll have to research what time the sun sets on your wedding day. Your photographer should discuss that with you. There are also plenty of stunning night time photos.

I love evening weddings! Our wedding started at 5:30 and I would not have minded going a little later. Just make sure you factor in daylight for you photos!

I saw a wedding where they did the cocktail hour before dinner which I thought was kind of neat! Maybe you could look into that? See if it is feasible l.

My ceremony is to start at 6:00 PM so 6:30 PM start is perfectly fine. I love the idea of an evening wedding. I am so excited.

My ceremony starts at 6:30pm but I don't know how to plan the rest.
