Our venue just called to say the coordinator is leaving and now we have a new coordinator. I'm sure it will all work out fine, but I've been working with this coordinator for a year now, so I'm really sad it won't be him coordinating our wedding. Nothing to do though except to hope that she is just as good.

At 8 weeks out, we lost our officiant, and we've also lost a groomsmen due to a divorce within our wedding party, so PLEASE let this be the last "surprise."

Everyone, keep your fingers crossed for us. 42 days to go.

Everything comes in three's they say, I'm guessing this is your last one! So sorry you've had to deal with this but as long as everything was in writing you should be okay!

My wedding coordinator quit this month too. The new one is a lot younger. Not totally thrilled! The old one had a lot more experience!!

This happens much more than you think. I'm sure it will be fine. Be sure to call the new person and ask to stop by and see them. I'm sure you going over everything with him/her will make you feel more at ease. They are trained to be correct in all situations and will accommodate you.

You've been through a lot of change! As a former event coordinator, let me assure you that there is a lot of movement in the industry. There are usually a million applications for every 1 job, so your venue probably was able to hire their top choice.

It does suck to lose someone you have made a connection with though. If your coordinator has not left yet, I would recommend meeting with him and asking him to write down any special concessions you had discussed so nothing is lost in the transition.

Good luck though! You are a superstar for rolling with the punches.
