5/30/20 wedding & not worried about rescheduling

Hey girls! So, the way I feel about our May 30, 2020 wedding possibly not happening the way FH wanted it is almost a relief to me. Hear me out. He wanted a BIG traditional wedding. I got stuck with planning ALL of it and even sought out help for a partial coordinator since he did not help out even after HE is the one who wanted a big wedding. On the other hand, I wanted a MUCH smaller wedding than he does. I told him I preferred something intimate and less fussy. Now I know that our wedding isn’t until 5/30/20 but I am a realist and am already on the move for a plan B since we are 73 days out now from the ceremony. I have emailed all the vendors for their thoughts and availability. We were supposed to have our shower on 4/18/20 but that is going to get canceled so I am not even going to worry about that. If that gets canceled, then so be it!

I also want to have this at a time where everyone can be worry free from traveling and contracting the virus. FH & I have talked it over and agreed we want to try and host our wedding at the house where we have ample room in our backyard for a wedding. We would rent a HUGE tent of course (we live in Michigan so the weather is ALWAYS unpredictable). Stick with most of our vendors and find a time that coordinates with them. There will be some hiccups with trying to coordinate that. Already know that from 2 years of planning! LOL

We could save SOOOO much money having it at our house and not at a venue. We will find a catering company that would accommodate everything for us so we don’t have to get plates, etc. Also, will need to figure out the bar situation LOL. All things in due time. I guess all along the one silver lining to wanting a different kind of wedding from what he wanted helps to cope with this. Now this does still suck because it may change travel plans for some of our loved ones. We are hoping whatever happens we can still have everyone come that is near and dear to our hearts (which is basically everyone) LOL.

We just want our loved ones to be healthy and safe during this time!!! This is the ultimate thing.

In the interim, I may still put on my fluffy white dress and he will put on that suit he got and we can go to town hall and tie this knot!!!!!!!! I JUST WANT TO MARRY MY MAN NOW 😊 LOL
