50 days...oh sh*t

50 days until my wedding. This s surreal. Three weeks until RSVPs are due and we only have 25% back. FH anticipates quite a few declines on his side and suggested some B list invites yesterday to make up for it :-/ I feel bad for the guy but still...no. I know there are a lot of May 21 brides--and May brides in general. How goes it??

RSVPs due at the end of April but and we've received about 35% so far. I'm pretty much on the whatever happens, happens bandwagon. In 51 days I'll be married and on my honeymoon no matter what happens Smiley smile

DJ, what they really want is a nice night out with free food and booze for their entire family. I bet they won't even bring a nice card.

@Alicia, I hadn't thought about the fact that it's officially next month. Just got a little nervous reading your post.

RSVPs are slowly rolling it. Our pint glass favors came yesterday and we love them. Planning to do some DIYs this weekend. My first dress fitting is next week.

It's coming up so fast! We have a handful of RSVPs that we're still waiting on, and a few things we can't do until we get to our destination. FH's dad just gave us some money towards the wedding, which was so appreciated. We've paid for everything ourselves up to this point and our budget is stretched to its limit, so it was great to get some unexpected help.

Fdil brought her wedding dress to my house to store until the wedding. She also asked me to take it back to David's to have it pressed the week of the wedding. I feel so trusted and honored but a little anxious. I wasn't this worried the first time she left the baby with me. Lol

How sweet, Midwest. I'd like to do something to make my FMIL feel more included but it's hard with her living on the east coast, when the wedding is out west.

Panic has just set in...my bridesmaid dresses came in and one of my girls sent me a photo of it and it's the wrong color!! I'm hoping and praying only hers was wrong. So I have to make a trip to the salon and see if they're all wrong and figure out how to get 5 new dresses in ASAP!

It's all so exciting! Only 50 days! I have about half of my RSVPs in. I don't understand why people who have verbally told me that they are coming wont fill out the online RSVP!

Why are rsvps due so soon? Usually it's a couple weeks before the wedding. Like two

Bridetoeb, we made our RSVPs due four weeks before because FH and I--along with 80% of our guests--are flying from east coast to California for the wedding. I am flying out a week before the wedding and would like everything done before then. Besides, if you have to get on a plane for at least six hours, I'd like to think you know a month out.

I'm a 5/21 bride too and something about the calendar changing to April has made it very real. Eek! I feel behind when I read some of these posts, our invitations will be going out on Monday. Hopefully this is fine since most of our guests are local or within driving distance. Super excited. Can't believe it's next month!

We are date twins. I'm in same boat as you with RSVP's only about 25% back. Right now I'm at a stand still waiting for all the RSVPs and finalizing things with DJ and photographer. I wish it would go faster. When we it 100 days it went by fast, once we hit 60 days it just started moving so fsst

I'm down to 55 and don't even have invitations sent out...but we're also doing a family-only wedding so about 20 people total. We didn't even have a reception venue til this past week. But more and more things are falling into place which means I'm getting less stressed.

Hilary, you should be fine if your family is aware of your date and live within driving distance. It feels so good when you drop those invites in the mail! Then you have to deal with frustration of people not RSVPing in a timely manner, lol. But you shouldn't have that problem since you're inviting so few people.

It is coming up realllly quickly. Just trying to relax, and stick to my checklist.

I am kind of stressed, and having some panic moments and weird wedding dreams.

I keep having some middle of the night panic moments about silly little things. I just finalized ceremony music with our guitarist. He's doing a custom arrangement of "Concerning Hobbits" from Lord of the Rings for our recessional. The rest of the music is really exciting as well. I have to finalize a few songs for our reception. I'm making a few payments at a time on our venue so that I can get the credit card points. We've been shopping for our honeymoon. Working on centerpieces and table numbers. I feel like my to-do list is ten miles long but there's really only so much I can do at this point.
