50 days...oh sh*t

So close!

Shit's getting real!! I am SO excited!!! And I've got so much to do!!!!! I'm having a lot of fun doing it, though, so I'll be fine.

It's crazy. I'm much more excited than stressed right now. I know that'll change any minute bc there are a ton of tiny details I need to handle but right now I'm just enjoying this feeling.

Can you believe that we are getting so close?!? RSVPs have been rolling in and they are getting sent to my mom's house so I have been picking them up in batches every weekend haha I love opening them all at once! Overall, we are pretty much done with everything, which is so crazy! I am finishing up the small details this weekend like tags on the favors, pictures for the cocktail hour, and little things like that. Once I receive responses from everyone then it will be figuring out the seating chart and escort cards!

How is everyone doing with their planning?!

I'm at 70. Eeeeeeeeee! I have like a ridiculous amount of stuff to do.

Can't believe it's only 50 days! Feels like yesterday I was saying to FH, "100 more days to go!" Most of our planning is done, it's just waiting and last minute things like seating arrangements and parent gifts. So exciting!

Congratulations! I know the Oh Shit feeling. I'm 5/22 and our RSVPs are due in 2.5 weeks (we are going to start tracking people down after 3 weeks to allot for mailing time). We have about 30% back so far. So far we have a healthy ratio of accepts to declines, so I hope that keeps up.

We have a venue meeting tomorrow, and I'm excited to nail down more details! My shower is next weekend and my first dress fitting is 4/11. I still have a few things to buy for my outfit and some DIYs to complete.

Michelle, I swear it feels like it was just a few days ago I was at the 100 day mark. Crazy how quickly time is flying now that we're getting close.

Yes, 6 weeks from this minute, hopefully we will be at the venue and decorating like mad.

I have to start my 50-day journal today! My surprise bachelorette weekend starts tonight. RSVPs have been slowly coming in. We're at 35ish guests with 2 weeks left to RSVP. FH had a stellar sales month, so we should be able to knock most (if not all) wedding payments out in the next two weeks. So exciting!!

Sidenote: I actually had some people B-list themselves. FMIL's great-uncle and his wife asked to bring 7 guests. They're the couple's adult children. I said we were already at our venue limit. So she then asked if they could come if we got enough declines. I was so taken aback that I just said I guess so. I'm just hoping I don't have to address it again.

I felt great until I saw the countdown was at 50 and all of a sudden I start remembering the little things I wanted to add on to my to do list. We've been getting back RSVPS and out of 163 we have 67 yes and 4 no.

DJ, it's funny how excited people get about weddings. Why do you need to bring 7 guests?!! You are way more gracious than I am.

WW Ostrich, I wish our RSVPs were coming back the same rate as yours.

It's crazy to say we are getting married NEXT MONTH!! I have about half of my RSVPS still out and due date is not for another 2.5 weeks. So I can't do much until then. I pick up my dress tomorrow and next weekend is my bachelorette party and bridal shower!

That's so awkward, I can't imagine asking if I could bring 7 people to a wedding that weren't originally invited!

I haven't had my bachelorette party or bridal shower yet ... they are both surprises but it has to be coming up soon!

@Sunni, FMIL asked me to call and talk to them, so I called the wife. She said it was their children and they wanted to see their cousin get married. I asked FH if he knows them, and he barely knows the great-uncle and great-aunt.

@Kaitlin, it gets worse. We gave all adults +1s, so if we do eventually let them in, etiquette would dictate that it's 14 people. My plan is to lie, but I'm hoping they just won't ask again.
