5 days until wedding and ppl are still trying to rsvp

Tina, on August 10, 2019 at 8:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
All I can do is laugh. Literally this last week all the people I invited that NEVER responded to my mailed invites or FB event are now calling and texting mev wanting to come. What is wrong with these people??? You forgot to click yes on fb ? Really? You thither thought you clicked yes? Mmmk. Smh. What reality dob people live in where they just ignore something so incredibly special then all of a sudden in the 99th hour they are interested? Sigh 😑 I know if I ever get invited to anything I'll be reserved immediately.

Yea people are really terrible about rsvp'ing. It's like um this is an event we need final counts for catering and whatever else, ya know.

I've already put the word out there that RSVPs I don't receive will be marked as NOs and we aren't chasing anyone around for answers. We're also not accommodating any guests that randomly appear regardless of why (forgot to RSVP, random uninvited guest, etc).

Exactly!! I will not chase anyone down for them to come to my big day! We did online RSVP's and after the date the site will close so oh well.

Same. We may give a call/text at some point right before the due date, but I'll have it on my website Q&A loud and clear that no answer is an answer and then shut down the RSVPs. We have other people we wished to invite, so although they'll be last minute, I still want to be able to extend an invite due to any declines.

Your late RSVPers probably don't understand how important guest count is! Ugh, why do people feel so entitled?

So question: how are you handling this? Are you accommodating them or telling them too late?

No telling what goes through ppls minds. Why can they all of a sudden remember in the 99th hour? And I find it insane to get a wedding invite and never say anything one way or the other then all of a sudden you want to come? Nope. These will be the ppl that won't even show
