Hello everyone, Happy Monday!!! It is here, it is wedding week. My wedding is Sunday, I am working until Thursday and then it's on!
How am I feeling at this point? Honestly I am pretty chill, not feeling too crazy stressed out. I guess that is a perk if you are not doing too much DIY. My idea was so huge in the beginning, so many tiny details but for what? All these details you kill yourself making and perfecting for them to end up in the trash or unnoticed. I cut off so much stuff about half way through my wedding planning because I realized how unimportant it really was. My venue is a beautiful ball room with the dance floor right in the middle and tables on both sides, it is hill top overlooking the valley and has views for days!!! It does not need too much additional decor, with my floral centerpieces, candles and table numbers it really does it for me. We have gold chiavarri chairs for the ceremony and reception, the weather is bound to be sunny but not too hot 68-72 degrees during ceremony hours which will be on an outdoor terrace and the ballroom is indoors with floor to ceiling windows all around. Also the ballroom has beautiful draping on the ceiling in the center of the room with twinkle lights.
Friday morning I will be doing nails with my sister and then we will have a sister date day, maybe do a happy hour. Then I am free the rest of the day, Saturday morning FH and I have massages and then we drive to our weekend house that we rented on Airbnb.
Sunday is the big day!!!!! Tuesday we fly to our honeymoon, 1st class woot woot!! And we're out for a whole week to have fun under the sun. I also bought a completely new wardrobe for this honeymoon ha-ha don't worry I took major advantage of Fashion novas's 40% sale that they had.
I will probably get nervous as time gets closer, not nervous about my marriage to the man I love but nervous that everything will fall into place and that the day will be smooth. I have been watching the weather and 2 weeks ago they were forecasting heavy rain on my wedding day so at this point all I can control is myself so why be a big ball of nervousness and stress.
I want to put my dress on, get my hair and makeup done all pretty and marry my man and party the night away!!
I remember times when it seemed like it would take forever to actually get here but now that I am almost here I can barely believe it, I am so excited to also get my brand new ring that will give company to my engagement ring and for him to finally get to wear his. The downside to that is that we will be leaving our rings behind due to us honeymooning to beachy weather where we plan to be in the water and out doing fun stuff so to prevent lose or damage they'll just stay at home. I'll get one full day with it, lol!
