45 Days to go - What's left?

HMills, on June 29, 2016 at 2:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

My wedding is in 45 days and I feel like most of the big stuff is done. I am going to my venue on July 11th to pick the menu and pay the remaining balance. We have all of our RSVPs back in and ended up with 187 people. We have our florist, DJ, photographer, and bakery all booked and ready to go. I picked up my dress last weekend and it's completely finished. I'm just concerned now that I will forget the small things. Does anyone have any tips or lists for stuff that needs to be completed 1-2 months out?

P.S. I added a photo of me in my dress from my bridals just because I absolutely love it!

I'm the day before you. I still need a florist, the groomsmen need tuxes, we may need to find a new officiant (our priest was moved to a different church, so unless he is able to come back from the wedding, we would have to go with the new one which I don't know how I feel about that). I have my second fitting on the 12th. 13th is hair and makeup trial and when I'm going to finalize everything at the venue. All RSVPs aren't in yet but we know for sure who is coming and who isn't. We need to finalize music for the DJ, finalize cake design, pick the excursions we want to do in Hawaii on our honeymoon. I really need to go on the groomsmen tuxes. The groom has his but if we don't figure that out soon, he's not going to have anyone standing up with him.

We plan on getting our marriage license by the end of July. I know I still have to finish escort cards, 2 bridesmaids still have to order their shoes, and I still have to buy my FH's shirt because I wanted an ivory pleated shirt and the tux rental place didn't have any. I also need to iron out my day-of timeline because we aren't doing a first look but I want to take as many pre-ceremony pictures as possible. (We're getting married outside in August in Louisiana so standing outside for forever after the ceremony to take pictures doesn't sound enjoyable at all.)

Following because I feel like I am forgetting stuff too. It doesn't help that FH thinks most of the details are no big deal and can be handled the day before.

We still need to finalize ceremony, song and meal choices. Then it is mostly little details; table numbers, programs, ties for the groomsmen. I started confirmations with vendors this week.
