I am just curious if there are other brides on her that are as they say 'older' for their first wedding. A lot of people are astonished that I am 'almost' 40 and never been married. Also surprised we are having such a big wedding being that I am 'older' Smiley smile To me age is just a number and I have a young FH to keep me young. Smiley smile Any other older brides having a big wedding? are you doing things differently because of age or.............

    I'll be 43 and my FH 48 when we are married in February. My first wedding, his second, he married really young and has been divorced for 15 years. I haven't ever envisioned a large wedding but entertained the idea by looking at some larger venues so that I made sure I looked at all of my options. Do what you want! I'm thrilled for you that you're doing it up! We are doing a small ceremony and a cocktail reception, we didn't want all the dancing, etc. I had originally not thought I would do a traditional wedding dress but when I tried them on, I ended up with a ballgown...who woulda thought! Congrats to you!!!

    I’m not much older than you and getting married for the first and LAST time.

    Do what makes YOU and FH happy.

    At the end of the day, you two will have to live with the memories and look at the pictures.

    I’m going to be 49 and my first. Big bridal party with 85 + guests and an after party. It is themed and a year away! I can wait, so yes, plan your dream wedding at any age!
