4 hour wedding photographer

Rose, on April 10, 2018 at 8:12 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
My wedding isnt going to be a very long one and most photographers start their pricing at like 1 to 2 grand for 8 hours but mine will be only around 4 or 5 hours. Any advice/recommendations?

There are photographers who shoot elopement sessions which can range from an hour to four hours generally. Since your wedding is on a Saturday, you may have a little trouble finding photographers with open availability but I don't think July would cause the same availability issues as like in September or October. I'd reach out to the photographers you're interested in and ask if they're available to shoot your wedding for a couple of hours. Or check your local facebook groups and see if there are any photographers in your area that are available.

Keep looking. There are a ton of people around here who offer hour by hour up to 10 hours.

A lot of them include taking photos before the ceremony & reception of the bride and groom getting ready. Are you including time for that or is the whole process only 4hours? Also if you like a photographer just tell them you don't need that long they will tend to adjust their package pricing for you.

If you talk to them, chances are they will work with what you need. Our photographer is only 4 hours, I decided I needed very little pass formal pictures. I didn’t want getting ready pictures, so he is meeting us at the church.
We found our photographer on thumbtack and he has been great. You can specify what you want before you send the request as well.

We found a photographer to do five hours on a Saturday. I am considering increasing that to six just because I really want to be able to attend the cocktail hour and that will give us more time before the ceremony. So it just depends on what is important to you. I don't really need professional shots of me getting ready, but I do want some at the reception, first dance, etc.
