. . . . and our venue has shut down, our Governor just announced that all restaurants need to close and we cannot have any public gatherings larger than 50 people.
As terrible as COVID-19 is, I personally think it is a blessing in disguise for my fiance and I. If our venue stays closed through April 16, we will get our money back. We planned on using Olive Garden for our food, however if they stay closed and stop catering, we will also save money there. We also ordered cupcakes from a local bakery - we will get a refund if they stay closed as well.
My fiance and I aren't terribly worried. We have been planning on a very simple, old fashioned wedding anyway!!! We invited 10 people (12 people total if you include us), no bridal party, and absolutely no exuberance. Our decorations are handmade and very simple : mason jars with flowers and led candles.
If need be, we will have the wedding at a family members house, we'll make a small meal (pasta, sandwiches, cheese and crackers, or whatever - possibilities are endless), and my dad can make a cake!! Personally, I think all of that makes everything so much sweeter and meaningful. 💗💗
Stay healthy and try not to worry, fellow brides. It will br okay!
