Dedicated June 2020

3 Days! 😮

3 days until our wedding and I'm beyond excited, but also a little anxious. 💍😬 I feel grateful to be able to still have a wedding with all the uncertainty in the world. For those that are already married, what did you do the last few days leading up to your wedding? Did you have any last minute issues? I feel like I'm forgetting something!!!

I definitely went over all my inventory to see if I got everything I needed! And I took some time to relax before the day.

I just remember 3 days before our wedding (my last day at work before taking time off) I got a text from my mom saying that my 85 year old great uncle arrived from out of town (he was staying for a week) and literally all he packed was a suit and 1 pair of pajamas, so she had to go shopping for him 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 and then our venue emailed me with a final floor plan of the reception room and the tables were in totally different places than they had looked when I arranged the seating chart.

Honestly, I was one to freak out about every tiny thing that went wrong throughout the process... but in those last few days, I was just so happy and excited that everything just seemed petty and funny to me at that point. During those days we spent a ton of time with our out of town relatives and friends which was great.

And we started doing a video diary! We recorded a few seconds every time we met up with family and friends, and we did a “recap” of the day at the end of each day Smiley smile

Just remember to take it easy, and plan some time to relax!! I booked myself solid in the days leading up to it, but 2 nights before the wedding I went into a panic attack and just felt out of breath and nauseous from overdoing it and all the stress. I watched tv with my mom and brother and had some tea and took a bath and that helped. It was SO needed. Also, I was sleeping really poorly just from anxiety and excitement. So I had one time when I was scheduled to spend time with family before going to dinner with them, but I was just totally exhausted and rundown so I took a quick nap instead. I’m so glad I did that, and I wished I had honestly just planned that time for relaxation into my schedule. Don’t run yourself down!

They say “it goes fast” but I don’t think that’s true... I think it is just that there’s SO much you want to do, that there’s never going to be enough time to do it all. Just try to enjoy every moment and try to accept that you’re going to miss out on some things you may want to do, and that’ll be ok Smiley smile

We took care of some little things, like printing programs, creating our handfasting cord, the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and getting my nails done, for instance.

Check your list, and then breathe. Let it go. Good luck!
