3 days before my wedding and I burned my face

Private User, on January 6, 2016 at 9:30 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

Sooooo while setting down my hair wand curler two days ago I accidentally grazed my face and now I have a burn mark right on my cheek. I get married on Saturday- I have a make up artist and I'm doing airbrush make up so I think it should be okay... Does anybody have good suggestions or remedies though? Thank you!

Oh no!!! There are home remedies that I've used in the past that helped with healing. I only remember one, which was onion juice and that really helped a second degree burn. Maybe do a search for burn home remedies and try a few different ones to see if anything will speed up healing. Either way, I think you'll be ok by Saturday with makeup.

One last tip - the healthier your body is, the quicker injuries will heal. Low fat, high carb, whole foods are your friends! Lots of hydrating fruits for sure. Good luck!!

Don't put any makeup on it until your wedding. Drink lots of water, don't pick at the scab, and sleep on a clean pillowcase.

Open a vitamin E pill (you can poke it with a pin) and put that gel on your burn. Should go a long way to prevent scarring!

Don't have any suggestions, but I somehow do this w/ my flat iron like once a week (always my neck though) and it usually heals pretty quickly. You should be fine, especially with a good MUA.

Lots of water, neosporin. you can also pick up some hydrocolloid patches from the drugstore and cut them into smaller pieces and wear them religiously in the days before the wedding. they are a miracle worker.

Definitely use aloe and Vitamin E! Try to keep it from drying out to the point where the skin cracks open. And like PP's have said, don't scratch or pick at it.

Aloe Vera for sure. Hydrate and be careful what you put on the burn. Probably avoid any harsh cleansers, no exfoliating, etc.

This cream totally erased my dad's burn scars when he got badly burnt once. It looks like a few could be delivered as soon as tomorrow:

Neosporin also helps fairly quickly. I would alternate that with vitamin E applications. And, as everyone else has said, hydrate.
