2Nd wedding invite

Caroline, on October 24, 2019 at 2:11 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 7
Hi, I've verbally invited a couple of friends,to which they refused.1 explained why (for reasons, for which I totally understand, i knew it was a long shot anyway) and the other just politely refused with no reason.Im now sending out save the date cards and i want to send them one with a little note attached saying something like "i know you said no,but im hoping that you would change your mind and accept" How can I word that into something like a funny poem? Thanks in advance

I don't think that I would try to guilt them into attending, especially the one who explained why they couldn't make it. Just send the save the date since you already verbally invited them. If something changes, they will accept.

If anything, I would have the note say something like "I know that you cannot make it, but i wanted to send you a save the date just in case anything changes"

I probably wouldn’t send these people a save the date at all but wait for invitations and include them when you send those and maybe say “just in case something changed!”

I would just send the STD the same as everyone else's. No note. If something changes, then they will RSVP yes when you send your invitations out. Otherwise, they will just RSVP no.

I would just send it to them, no need to attach a note or do anything unique for their invites. Just treat them like normal guests.

I've seen lots of people on here complain about how awful cutesy poems and things are for wedding stuff. I'd just send them the save the dates/invites.
