25 days...

Samantha, on June 15, 2020 at 5:26 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
Tomorrow it will officially be 25 days until our wedding 🤯 I am SO excited but I'm starting to get nervous! I think I have everything handled except what to do for the rehearsal dinner and reserving a hotel block (our venue is a 45+ min drive from 50% of our guests). We also only have one person to help with hair and I have five bridesmaids, so I'm thinking I should find someone else to help, too. Is there anything else that is commonly forgotten about? I go in for my final fitting for my dress on Friday and if it's where it needs to be, I'll get to take it home! I have all of the venders figured out. I just need to meet for a final tasting with our caterer, discuss table set up with the venue, and do a final meet with our DJ. I feel like this post is just rambling 🥺 but I just don't want to forget anything.

Make an inventory list and double check it with everything you have to make sure you bought everything needed

Make sure you also have a set up and tear down crew for your wedding, and you have someone in your bridal party that's going to pick up your presents and cards.

Yeah, our venue does all of the set up except we have to put our centerpieces down. They also do the clean up but we'll have to ask them if we have to pick up the centerpieces, too. We also have to put someone in charge of getting any unopened alcohol because our alcohol supplier is allowing us to return anything that isn't used, but good thinking with also putting someone in charge of gifts/cards!

For your centerpieces, if you have a florist making them, they'll probably set them up for you, but you should ask them to leave boxes so it's easier to get them into cars at the end of the night. For the hotel block, there are services that can do this for you. I used Kleinfeld because they were super easy to deal with, and I would definitely recommend them especially given your time crunch. For hair/makeup, try to make sure you have enough space for everyone to get ready together. (Or not together, depending on what you want.)

I made my own centerpieces, so I'll have the boxes & I'll have to place them but we're going to be allowed to do that the night before following our rehearsal. I'm in contact with a hotel right now about our block. And thankfully our venue has a large bridal suite with 4 vanities and a cart with cubbies for our belongings.

That sounds convenient! With my venue, I think officially we're supposed to take the centerpieces, but either our florist or venue coordinator told me that if we have boxes, the staff will be happy to put the centerpieces into the boxes because it makes their jobs easier at the end of the night anyway.

Basically, you just need to make sure you have certain bridal party members that are gonna be in charge of taking certain items and stuff. What I did was I made a list of jobs that needed to be done for the wedding, such as set up dessert table, set up the sand ceremony, and pick up gifts and cards as well of course.
