2028 Weddings

I just started planning because we were thinking that we wouldn’t be getting married for about 3 or even 4 years but here we are. I just decided on a color palette. We’re going with purple and orchid for a bright colorful summer wedding.

So the venue that we originally wanted just got back to us and now I’m feeling conflicted. It has a lot more pros than the place we’re using now. It’s a way better deal, we wouldn’t need to get any rentals, more set up and clean up time, better location. I guess the only issue is that we would have is to move our date but I guess that’s not a big deal. And I could go with the theme that I wanted in the first place. So decisions, decisions. 🤔 The only issue that bugs me is that you aren’t 100% booked until a year out from your date. We would go on a list and they go down the list and you can pick your date in that order. It’s a policy change that they made after Covid because the cancellations and rescheduling were a lot which I can understand.

As soon as I saw this other venue I could picture our wedding there and I pictured a celestial theme and I loved it.

I know that is further out than most people would anticipate, but it is what we are comfortable with and the most financially sound option. We recently found out a venue, and I found my dress! Very exciting, as we are taking our time with the process. I've found that being extremely communicative about my thoughts and the vendors I want to speak to has helped me stay engaged. Just trying to lessen the stress and plan well. Next things I need to do before the end of the year: wedding party invites, honeymoon plan, food tasting for catering, and create a site/registry. I'll do save-the-dates and invites next year.
