I feel that for all of us brides the biggest challenge for us was whether or not we were being selfish to ask people to still either attend or to cancel on everyone. It definitely is not easy with everything that is going on but I truly believe things happen the way they should so maybe in a year when you can have the big wedding that you both previously had planned and it will be MAGNIFICENT!! Best of luck to you both with this year, and I hope with your micro wedding you are still happy and have the best day ever!

I am so sorry to hear your mom is sick currently, I will keep your family in my thoughts for her to have a safe a speedy recovery. I say go with your gut at this point, you can always do some big party next year with everyone! It is such a hard time for everyone and especially those who are either affected themselves or their family is.

May 21! I'm in the same position, hoping for at least 100 but either way we are tying the knot!

Originally planned for a destination wedding in Italy in June 2020. Postponed until May 2021. Now, we are discussing with our wedding planner pushing to 2022. It seems so unlikely that a destination wedding would be possible this spring.


The good news is that we still officially got married on our original date in June 2020. It was a very small, backyard ceremony, and our families joined via video conference.

We’ve been together 9 years this year, so I totally know what your feeling. We postponed from September 2020 to June 2021. We were super hopeful things would be better by June and there is still time. We have decided we are going through with our wedding and won’t postpone again. I am hoping that we won’t have to cut our guest list tremendously. We will see if our governor opens up the restrictions.

Yay! It's finally our wedding year! Congratulations

So I'm getting married October 16th and we're going on as normal. I'm actually a wedding videographer and in my state, right now, it is up to the counties on how to handle events. I actually got to film all of my weddings as normal except one that postponed to this year, so I'm not too worried.

I'm really hoping that the vaccine is widely available before and that everyone feels safe. We're only looking at around 80-90 guests and it will be outside with a reception that's in a pavilion where it will be open as well.

View Quoted Comment Wedding twins! We are expecting to have about 100 guest as well, but our wedding will be in Georgia. Our venue has it set up to be indoor or outdoors (it was a requirement for us, because we are not postponing a wedding for weather either!), so if we need to, we can have the wedding completely outdoors.

We are planning on going ahead with our date of June 26th as long as nothing shuts completely down We have talked and all that are going to be invited are aware getting an invite could change if restrictions change lol

Where I'm at as well is based per county and how to handle events! I'm very lucky that we will be able to have our wedding as planned right now. We have 70 guests currently but might move it up to 80 depending on the pandemic!
