    I’m getting married August 2020.
Honestly when I first got engaged I immediately wanted to plan my whole wedding by the end of the year haha but then I started to relax and just decided to enjoy being engaged. People will have opinion too, but it’s so exciting and fun to plan! So do what’s best for you!
All i’m getting done right now is figuring out what type of bride I want to be, bridal party, theme, colors, and finding my venue, which I plan on booking this week! And then I’ll relax and start planning more next year. We all have our own pace, ideas, etc. So again, do what’s best for you and enjoy the ride!

I've been engaged since April and we are getting married in April 2020!

We picked our venue first, back in June

We have a draft of our guestlist

I picked and asked my bridesmaids already, but most people choose to wait until about 1 year out

We've chosen (but not booked) our photographer and DJ, as well as the florist

I bought my dress too! It was one of the exact ones I wanted and was over 50% off, but I won't get it altered until late 2019/early 2020

I have a few decorations I knew I wanted, and decided to go ahead and get them because they had sales

We are going for a tasting at a preferred caterer soon, and then we are taking a planning break until 2019 (other than maybe making payments towards vendors)

I am getting married in May of 2020 as well! Starting to tour venues but honestly... that is all I have done so far because I don't want to rush into it with all the time we have!

We are March 2020 and we have picked venue and wedding coordinator, color palette, guest list, budget (first and foremost!!), and I’m on the hunt for a caterer but I’m not stressing because once we get that everything else is a breeze (in my eyes). We are going electronic for invites (and my brother will help us make those eventually), FH is in charge of getting alcohol (within budget 😋), family friend will be doing dessert, brother will do engagement photos, Mom is taking care of decor.

Im allll about getting things out of the way since both FH and I are in graduate school, so the more we do now, the only thing we hope to have left is the small stuff when crunch time is on later 😇

Also, I’ve heard that we should ENJOY our engagement, but FH and I have been living together for so long and are busy with school, I’m just like, let’s do the wedding stuff!! I’m ready!

Our wedding date is booked October 17, 2020 and we are more than halfway done! It’s nice because we have plenty of time to pay off vendors but the most important people are booked! I already have my venue booked along with, florist, photographer/videographer, ceremony musician, cake, color scheme, and what kind of food and booze. I have Plenty of time to pay them off and shed a few pounds for engagement session scheduled February of 2019 and to get into my dress! Don’t stress though and feel like you have to do a lot. We all have the advantage cause if something doesn’t seem right or you wanna make slight changes here and there you can without it causing drastic changes to your big day ❤️

The guest list is taking up a bit of my time cause there’s no telling how people are gonna be in the next 2 years lol

Most of the guest list has been drafted. I have an ideal budget, but I’m trying to decide where to splurge and where to compromise. I have my venue search pretty much down to 2 venues and it’s been so hard! I have a dream one that is a little more pricey than I want but I can save on food and alcohol while the other is financially friendly overall but I’d spend more than I want trying to make it more romantic than rustic (hard to do in the Nashville area) and there’s no rain plan so I’d have to book a back up location.

I will probably start ordering little things to include in a bridesmaid proposal by the end of this month. Going to look at dresses at the National Bridal Sale event on Monday. Other than that just browsing vendors.

I'm getting married March of 2020! So far we have both our ceremony and reception venue, caterer (it comes with the venue), photographer, DJ, and officiant booked. I'm a planner so I wanted to make sure we got everything squared away so we knew exactly how we will be doing in relation to our budget haha.

I'm hoping to go this winter or early next spring to get a dress and then will order or STDs sometime next spring/summer as well so we can send them out about 6 months ahead of time!

Congratulations! The time will fly by! We are finally under the 600 day mark and it feels so good!

We are waiting to ask our Bridal party till next October since thats when we will officially be planning and we would love for them to be involved as much as they can. We also have a budget accomplished, have an engagement photo shoot in November of this year, and looking into our wedding bands. Smiley laugh Also congratulations on your engagement!

We just got engaged a week ago and we're planning a summer 2020 wedding! We've started a few drafts of the guest list to get an idea of counts for our must-haves & nice-to-haves and we're planning at looking at venues! A lot of venues we like are in the mountains so we want to go soon to A) see what they're like in the summer and B) get first dibs on a date! Other than that we're just trying to enjoy being engaged and I'm pinning A LOT to my pinterest board haha. Smiley laugh

We just got engaged 2 weeks ago and we are planning on October 2020. The venue we want won't let us book until exactly 2 years before, so we are waiting on that. We made a budget, broke down how much needs to go into savings every month for the next 2 years between the two of us, and got started saving! A few family members have even given us some money for that account. We are excited to reach our goal and get to invite everyone that we want there and have the venue of our dreams. Now we just have to decide whether or not we want to spend the money on engagement photos or not...

January 2020! I thought I was way ahead of the game till I saw how far y’all were out and how far you were into planning! I have a dress (accidentally found exactly what I didn’t know I wanted for $200) wedding theme, colors, draft guest list, bridesmaids and groomsmen chosen but not asked, invitations picked out for DIY, and guestbook idea. We can’t book our venue until a year out. Caterer will be one of our family members, still wondering when to book photographer and videographer.

I am 🙋😊 October 3rd 2020 is the date we chose. We are going to have our ceremony in a church and I'm looking at venues now even though I know my choice.

We are getting married March of 2020!

We're way ahead of schedule because I'm obsessive about our wedding #sorrynotsorry lol.

We have our ceremony venue, reception venue, DJ, caterer (we had no choice in this because we have to cater through our reception venue but they're reasonably priced so I don't mind), photographer, videographer (same as photographer), and officiant all booked!

Because of a sale vista print was doing I bought our save the dates and our invitations last night lol. But I got a super good deal on them so if when we get closer to sending them out we decide that we just don't like them anymore (Which I highly doubt will be the case), I'm okay with being out that money!

This December or next January I'm hoping to go in and look at dresses. I won't go seeking out "the" dress, but if it happens then it happens! I also plan on asking all of my girls this December at some point as well!

Other than that, I'm just going to focus on saving as much money as possible until next spring when the real planning begins!

ETA: didn't realize that I already posted in this thread lol. Oops!
