I was just wondering how far along you are in your wedding planning if you are getting married on November or December of 2020? I am getting married December 6th of 2020 and I want to see if I am on track with everyone else who is getting married around that time.

How are you all doing this?!? We got engaged 9/28/19 and hope to get married mid November 2020, but haven't planned anything yet! We tentatively have our guest list, are figuring out some details of the wedding party, thought about colors and general aesthetic, just took engagement photos (I couldn't wait, and didn't want to miss fall), and we're thinking about venues, but nothing official has been done yet! Everyone is telling me I have plenty of time, but I'm kinda stressed because I know a lot of things book up fast. Thankfully we're aiming for under 50 guests, so we have some wiggle room, and we are open to postponing it to late winter (though I'd really rather not), but I can't wait to get the big things taken care of. I'm hoping once we pick a venue, things will start falling into place.

Well I'm getting married at a courthouse, and I'm having a backyard reception, because I want something small.I already have my dress and shoes, however I'm still planning out the catering and the rsvping. But for your wedding in 2020, I would make sure to have everything finalized by the third week of November

I got engaged September 1st of this year. So almost 2 months ago haha
my wedding isn’t until September of 2021. I have the venue booked, the caterer booked (only cause the venue requires you go threw them. I have my bridal party picked and asked. Hair girl is booked, officiant is booked, & my photo booth is booked (only because it’s a family member) I know who I want for photography, I picked out my bridesmaid dress, and I have a meeting with the florists next week. Can you tell I’ve been planning this my whole life? It’s all depends on you girl! I feel like you have plenty of time!

I am barely trying on dresses. We have our ceremony space (St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Laguna Niguel CA) and reception will be in our dear friend’s MASSIVE and beautiful back yard.

Also we have to take our classes soon (Jan of 2020) because the Catholic Church requires Marriage Cana and my fiancé is active duty military (Navy) and is stationed in Japan. So we have a lot of stuff to do because we are having such a formal and traditional wedding (Catholic wedding ceremonies are 1 hour long). And my fiancé is deploying. We have time but yes I would start looking at your venue and call them to see how fast they book up. If you’re getting married in November (James and I will be getting married December 5, 2020) you got to remember it’s a busy time for caterers and venues (think company Christmas parties and Thanksgiving dinners and such) so start calling to ask how fat they book up. I don’t really need a venue (back yard wedding reception in a family friend’s house) but yes start calling to see how fast they book up in the fall.

For the November/December brides with most of your vendors booked out - did you have a long engagement or have a coordinator? I'm surprised everyone has so much finalized

Getting married May 2020 we have our venue, florist, photographer, videographer, cake, my dress, my shoes, sent our save the dates, got my accessories, we have our DJ, hair and makeup team booked, got our bridal parties, now it’s just working on small details and will probably order invites around December!

I'm getting married on Halloween this year. Super excited, it's actually to renew my vows we have been married for 9 years already but never had a wedding ceremony.
