2020 Bride w/no Dress

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is staying safe during this difficult time. I’m newly engaged and with everything locked down I don’t see bridal shops opening until summer. With my wedding being 10/4/20 I’m worried I won’t find anything I like in time. Has anyone ordered dresses to try on at home?

Bridal sizes are very different and vary from designer to designer. For example my pants size is 12 my normal dress size who knows. David's bridals brand wedding dresses I was an 18 another brand i fit a 16 and one other brand I was a 22.

You know you always have a vision of what you want your dress to look like in your head. If this pandemic wasn’t going on I gave no doubt that I would have had time to find my dream dress.

Thank you much for the info. There was a Maggie Sottero I saw online that I liked. When I looked for availability the kinky stores were over 200 miles from me. Cocomelody emailed me on a dress with custom alterations and told me 75 days production.

When I ordered my custom it was 40 days so they are probably taking all of this in as a factor. I wish you so much luck!

Oh, terrific. When I remember how happy the process of shopping for my dress made me, I feel so sad for the many bride feeling everything is impossible, and they have to jump through hoops for the littlest things. I am happy you found a good solution.

You will be fine! There’s plenty of shops that will have sample dresses you can buy from the rack.

Just check those return policies. Regular policies and current return policies. A lot of places in our area are no longer doing returns temporarily.

I’m in the same situation. We just set our wedding for October 23 in February then we sent out the Save The Dates at the beginning of March but I have nothing planned just the venue and church. I’m getting nervous. I told myself by mid June if this isn’t over I am rescheduling for June 2021 at this point. I’ll just text everyone with the save the date saying sorry we will be letting you know our new date via text and we will send out formal invitations 5 months before the new wedding date

    Hi Tabitha,

I’ve done the try on at home option through Daughters of Simone. If you decide you love your dress, or any other in stock, they will apply your try on fee towards your final purchase! They have some really gorgeous gowns and a huge sample sale going on right now! Best of luck to you!

Congratulations to you. Same here if things are not better by June/July latest I’ll be pushing it over to 2021. I have my venue, dj, caterer and the person supplying all the decor.
