$20000 chicago wedding

James, on June 16, 2015 at 6:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

Hi me and my fiancé want to get married in the chicago area next summer. We want to keep the cost at $20000 for around 100 people. Has anybody any good venues that will work for are budget? Thank you.

Is that your total wedding budget including your dress, hair/makeup, his clothing, wedding party gifts, flowers, etc.? Or is that the budget you have to host your guests for room rental, food & beverage for the night? My budget for the event is less than half of my total budget, which is why I'm asking.

You'll struggle in the city itself. Most the hotels near O'Hare will be close to that cost. Banquet Halls near O'Hare will definitely be within that range. Other venues I'd recommend are Barn of Barrington, Gardens of Woodstock, Independence Lakes, Meridian Banquets, The Seville, The Glen Club, White Deer Run Golf Club and The Arborteum.

I think that is definitely doable. I am having a wedding in Glenview for (hopefully) less than 10k. I agree with the others, downtown = no, but suburbs = yes.

We're getting married at Stan Mansion. It's the most affordable I found in the city. Catering is what will get you, though.

If you are willing to drive to the suburbs, the Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake might be within your price range!

I'm having a church wedding and then having our reception at the Morton Grove Civic Center. We will have about 150 people and our budget is not too much more.

"Chicago" is quite large, so you'll have to narrow your field a little bit. Check out south side halls like belvedere chateau, paradise banquets, etc for lower prices. Our reception will be at the cotillion in palatine, gorgeous venue with amazing owners. We looked at the Seville and it was great too but booked up before we could decide

If you really want it in the city look at some of the Park District venues. The areas around Midway and O'hare also have more affordable venues then if you were downtown.

Our wedding was in Glenview (The Grove - Redfield Estate). We had about 100 guests, and the total cost was about... $13K? We had a brunch reception, and held the ceremony and reception in the same place.

Any banquet hall can do it. My brother's wedding was about that much.

Here is a list of banquet halls: Empress (where my wedding was), Seveille, Meridian, Four Points Sheridan, Fountain Blue, Belvedre, Concorde. Even take a look at Chandler's at the Schaumburg Golf Course.

I have been to events at all these places (weddings, showers, banquets).

We are having ours at Public Landing in Lockport. That is what we are spending including honeymoon for 100. The venue space is really cool and very affordable. They have been great to work with.

My sister is getting married at a church, and then at this place called Noah's Event Venue. Shes doing it all for 30k and 280 people so maybe check out there? It's in the suburbs though, not sure if that's a deal breaker, the city is going to be tough like others have said!
