200 Days To Go! 💕👰🏻🤵🏻

Hi ! 200 days, that will go fast :-D

The most exciting thing for me was planning my wedding ceremony, knowing that my friends would participate in it, reading textes, etc. It was a challenge, too, as I wanted it to be perfectly bilingual.

What about you ? Is it the dress that's the most exciting ? And what are you doing for your bacherolette party ?

Those 200 days will go by quick!! That's so exciting! Other than dress alterations, what do you still have left to do?


Planning has started slowly picking back up again for my fiance and I, now that we're almost at the "one year to go" mark! We've been doing more cake tastings, since our cake baker who we booked for our original date is retiring and can no longer make our cake for our new date, and we also started looking into readings for our ceremony. Otherwise, we don't have too much to do for our wedding at the moment!

I'm sure it will! I remember thinking the first year would go by slowly, but it got her so quickly!

I think the ceremony is also my favorite part right now! We're writing our own vows, so I'm really excited to read them out loud. I'm half Filipino as well, so we're also including a couple of Filipino wedding traditions, so I'm also excited for our friends and family to see that and be included.

For my bachelorette, my ladies have planned it all and are keeping it a surprise! One of the bm's did slip the location to me on accident, which is fine! We're going to Charleston, SC and I've never been so that's going to be a lot of fun!

Woohoo! Thats super exciting, I still have 474 days, but when I booked my venue I had over 700 days! I have my venue booked, menu picked out, hair and makeup, photographer and florist hired - next on the list is dress shopping! I thankfully don't have to worry about hiring a DJ since we are just doing a playlist, our venue includes dessert and nobody that we are inviting will need a hotel room so I'm not blocking rooms. We need to ask our officiant and think about transportation but thats it for now. Otherwise just taking a break from planning for awhile

We have to officially book our caterer, and do cake tastings! As far as vendors, that's all that's left for us! I'm trying to decide when I want to book my hair and makeup trials though. We have a couple's shower Oct. 2, so I'm thinking of having them done before the party so I feel like I haven't wasted their hard work!

Oh wow, you're def. a trooper because I'd give up and just elope because I'm so impatient haha! It sounds like you both have gotten a lot of things out of the way, so that's great! Ahhh! Dress shopping is so fun, and I really hope you have the best experience!

Thank you!! I've never been either so I'm pumped! I'm not a huge bar/party person, so I like how that location has the best of both worlds. My MOH had asked how I felt about a candle making class, and I told her that was def. something I'd like to do as a laid back day activity!

I'll try and post all about it when we get back and include some recs for everyone!

Thank you!! I hope so too! My FH is in school right now so were just waiting until he's done! He'll be done spring of 2022 so we have some time between when he gets done and our wedding thankfully lol

That was the main reason FH waited so long to propose lol, he wanted us both to be done with school, which is a smart way to look at it!

Yayyyy it'll be here before you know it! Our reception is 81 days and I cannot wait. I start my alterations in 2 1/2 weeks

View Quoted Comment Awesome!! Sounds like you've got pretty much everything ready to go, and the only thing left to do is celebrate!! The nice thing about having your hair and makeup trial on the same day as the shower is that you can see how it holds up throughout the day, which should give you a good preview of how it'll hold up on your wedding day.


I am definitely planning on posting a BAM (once the day finally gets here lol)! I'm super excited to see pictures from all your events as well (bachelorette, couples shower, and wedding), if you choose to post them!

We're trying to get almost everything done as soon as we can so that we can enjoy the rest of our engagement stress free! I agree as well, I think having it done the same day would give me a good idea on how it will all hold up since I'm wanting my hair up for the ceremony!

I'm actually wearing my wedding dress for the first time! For our minimony I did a simple white dress so I am excited. My husband and I are going to do a first look as well before the reception because he's never seen my dress till this day. So pretty much all the traditional things in a wedding without the ceremony!

Dress shopping and cake tasting have definitely been the most exciting parts of wedding planning. Cake is the last thing on our list and then…hopefully we can kind of sit tight until it’s time to send our invitations which I will be ordering soon. Oh and hair and makeup trial coming up in September. It’s all happening so fast!

The most exciting part was selecting our venue. We did that last year. I’m really anxious...however, we have the Dj, cake is included, decor is included as well as food. We have our officiant, we’re also doing our engagement dinner on 9/25/21. I’m super ready to tell everyone. It’s been the biggest secret to keep..so preparing for the dinner gives me something to look forward in the coming weeks 🥰🥰😍.
