Dedicated November 2019

2 "weddings"

My fiancé and I are still having our big wedding in November. A close family member just got diagnosed with cancer. They will be going through treatments in November. We are scared they will be extremely sick and not enjoy the day. We want to give them those memories of a happy day.
FH and I decided to go ahead and have a super small ceremony in June before family member starts chemo. So far I plan on getting a small tent, tables, chairs, and food. Is there anything else I need? Like I said we will be having a big wedding in November so we don't need any "non-essentials"

Speaker for the officiant & bride and groom, or for speeches? Or for special dances, or dancing at the end? Linens or china? Dessert? Appetizers? Photographer? Invites? Pamphlets, favors, menus? Decor for the ceremony space and reception space? Transportation, hair and makeup? I'm not sure what you want to include so just naming off things you didn't say.

Hi Madison! I’m sorry to hear about your family member. It’s so thoughtful for you to want to have a small ceremony so that they can truly enjoy the day and celebrate with you.

Have you thought about having refreshments for your guests? You can either have alcohol or stick to soda and juice but you should have something for your guests to drink.

I would also curate a Spotify playlist for your day and hook it up to a Bluetooth speaker so that you have some background music.

For decor in the tent, you could do something simple like balloons and bunting. This should not be too expensive but will add to the celebratory nature of the day.

Have you thought about what you will wear?

Future hubbie doesn't want me wearing my "real" wedding dress. I ordered one off Amazon for $60! I wish I went this route in the first place so I didn’t spend so much on a dress at a bridal store lol
