2 wedding dresses for micro wedding ?

Anyone bought two dresses for the wedding? I bought two wedding dresses and was originally wear a mermaid dress for the ceremony and ball gown for the reception and dance stuff.
Anyway, we decided to cancel our full size wedding because of the pandemic and want to do a 20 people micro wedding package, which comes with a photographer for 2-3 hrs. After the micro we will head to a restaurant and have a dinner reception( no dance or anything to keep it simple).
My question is since we only have the photographer for 2-3 hours, should I just wear one dress instead of two? Cuz I’m not sure if that’s enough time to change dresses during that time. I thought about change dress for the restaurant, but then the photographer won’t be there anymore...

    They are both beautiful but you kill it in the mermaid one! What about wearing that one for your micro-wedding and maybe having a dance reception or an anniversary photo shoot in 2021 with your ballgown?

    I was gonna wear two then my FH said changing dress might takeaway too much time since the photographer will only be there 2-3 hours.

    Wear your fave of the two and then change for the restautant. Even though you won't have professional photos of the second dress, your guests will take plenty. You can have someone take pictures of you outside after dinner (or before) with your phone so you have some that are easily accessible to you. You picked the second because you liked it; wear it so that there's happiness attached to that decision.

    I agree! You’re killing it with the mermaid dress! There will be a lot of people taking pics at the restaurant so you can change into the 2nd one.

    Can you extend for another hour of photography coverage? It could also be worth scheduling a quick post-wedding photo shoot in that second dress! 📷

I was thinking maybe wear the mermaid for the ceremony and ballgown for the restaurant just like how I planned before, but since it’s in a public restaurant so there will be other customers I don’t know if that would be weird lol ( I can’t imagine going to restaurant bathroom and other customers looking at me😱thinking I’m crazy lol)

    That's okay! I can say you can really see the difference in the 2 silhouettes!

    Also I think if I were in your shoes I would want to make the most of the photographer's time and get more photos than a different look, but that's just me. Smiley smile
