I have it in my head that I want a long dress for the ceremony and then a short dress for the reception to dance in. I have been searching for a dress that I can just take the bottom skirt off so I wont have to change into a totally different dress. All of the dresses I have found, I haven't liked. So any ideas on where else to look?

I have been finding all sorts of styles of removable train dresses on a site called stillwhite.com. They are being sold second hand (by gals like you and me), worn or not worn by all different designers. You can even put in your price point and search that way, as well as speak directly through messaging to the dress owner. There are even refund policy’s. GO check it out!

Your best bet is to have it custom designed by a local seamstress. The only ones I have seen are on Pinterest made by Tia Bridal by Benjamin Roberts but further research says the designer retired in 2011.

I have seen on amazon where they sell the detachable skirt on its own. so maybe you can do that over a mini white dress
