1/2/2021 as a wedding date

I would check flights as around NYE they are more expensive but honestly choose a date that is best for you two.

We are doing 1/9/21 i work at a college and we go back as faculty on 1/6 so that gives me a brief winter break to prep everything but had a similar mind set of wanting that down time to get things together and hopefully it be less stress lol we are doing our honeymoon on spring break in March!

If everyone else is local, then 1/2/21 should be fine. Otherwise, it might be a little expensive to travel.

Any flights before may be expensive, but the return flights should be good deals. My FH and I were long distance for almost 2 years, so when I visited for Christmas/New Year's (parents were in same state as him) I'd wait to leave until the 4th of January or so. I can work remote whenever I want in my job.

I'd make sure the people you want there the most don't have to travel to see family outside of your wedding area for the holidays though. I'm doing January 16, 2021 and already a little nervous about people saying no to more spending after holidays, but really wanted to take advantage of the long weekend and cooler weather in Florida.
