12 Days!! Juice Fast for a week? Advice Needed!!

So I am down to 12 days!! woot! But I am feeling really self-conscious! Between the holidays, and the wedding stress I have put on 5-7 pounds. So I was going to fast between tomorrow and next Wednesday, to lose 5 pounds preferably (on Wednesday my mom flys in so it would be hard to fast after that,...

So I am down to 12 days!! woot!

But I am feeling really self-conscious! Between the holidays, and the wedding stress I have put on 5-7 pounds. So I was going to fast between tomorrow and next Wednesday, to lose 5 pounds preferably (on Wednesday my mom flys in so it would be hard to fast after that, plus then it will be the rehearsal dinner ect.. my wedding is next Sunday).

First, good idea? I have done juice fasts before, but not for a week.

Secondly, how much do you realistically think I could lose??

I am not big necessarily (5'7 and 131), just feel like I could lose a few pounds.. do you think a week fast will do that??

Opinions and advice highly appreciated!

    @Marilyn...you are 3" taller than me and a whopping 1lb heavier...and I am by no means chubby, fat, or even a slight variation of either one. Society has made us women completely critical of ourselves and I for one hate that! I guess I have to say do whatever you are going to do but you really don't need to lose any weight. To show any "fat in your shoulders" you would have to gain way more weight. There is a big difference between skin and fat.....I am sure you will be beautiful on your wedding day!

    Just want to let you know you researched the old atkins. The new atkins is very veggie based. Its high fat, moderate protein and low carb...the carbs is where we get our veggies. Ive been on atkins for about 2 years all together and i've never been healthier

    Aww Marilyn, you sound like you and I have the same proportions. I get your self consciousness about the "flub" but trust me girl, it's probably all in your head.

    Drink lots, LOTS of water over the next week to flush out your system, and do some push ups and sit ups at the end of your workout routine. No BS - no one is going to notice anything but how gorgeous and happy you look.

    It's really simple. You said "And I wouldn't say I am overweight at all, just not toned... ". Whatever you do to your body now, including juice or exorbitant amounts of water, you won't get toned in a week. Nor is there any guarantee you will lose the tummy and much less tone the shoulders.

    The dress fits. You're just a few days away. Enjoy, don't obsess over what you most certainly can't change now.
