100 people on a small budget?

Hey everyone. New to the forums! I was wondering if anyone could give me tips to host 100 guests on a 3k budget? We've already decided no alcohol and my mom is making ALL the food....

No but in all seriousness! Smiley winking I AM new to the forums. I've been "lurking" for quite a bit, but I've decided to start joining in on the conversations! My name is Ivy, I'm 25 and I'm engaged to a handsome man named Aaron. We are high school sweethearts and have been living together for about 3 years, engaged since July 4th! We are getting married in St. Louis on May 12th! We have a 100 guest wedding on a healthy enough budget to provide good (catered) food, plenty of booze and allow all of our family and friends to be able to enjoy our wedding day with us! We plan on our wedding colors to be a dusty blue, peach and maybe rose gold!

    Definitely did my best! And I figured now that the new year is starting and I'm going to be getting into the thick of the wedding planning, it would be fine now if I started contributing the the community! So many users here seem so wonderful and helpful.

    Glad you think it's helpful advice Smiley smile The forums have been changed recently so things are a bit different than they used to be and a lot of users who gave excellent advice have left Smiley sad But there are still a lot of users here with helpful advice. Some might be blunt, but it's meant to be honest and helpful.

    If you're looking for live music, I can't say enough about St Louis Big Band. They are hands down the best decision I made about my wedding (other than marrying my husband of course!). I wish I planned 100 events a year so I could hire them for all of them!

    Thank you so much for the suggestion! The reception music is something we haven't sorted out yet, we've gone back and forth if we should have a DJ or a band. I'll definitely give them a look, for sure! Our reception venue even has a stage! Would be way too cool Smiley winking
