From our first walk through to the night of the party, working with Jamaal was a dream. Communication was great during our planning period and he helped drum up ideas to get the crowd engaged if there were lulls in the evening. On the day of the party, he set up our space with uplighting to make it truly feel like a Winter Wonderland and played the best music to engage the crowd - we had no lulls and the dance floor was packed until teardown!

Our guests could not stop raving about how much fun and how great the music was. Once the party was started, there was not a single moment that the dance floor was scarce or dry.
We highly recommend upgrading to the package with the sound sensitive lighting too - it really just elevated the party to the next level. Regardless of wedding or other event, Jamaal is the absolute best choice for music needs! Couldn't of had the caliber of wedding we did without him!
The goat!
I was a super stressed and overwhelmed bride, and Jamaal completely rolled with the punches. He gave guidance when I wanted it, answered every question, and stayed patient when I was slow getting him details he needed to plan the day. That support was such a relief.
My goal was to feel like I was out dancing at a club, and he absolutely made that happen while still keeping the older crowd happy. He took my inspiration playlists and built a night that fit everyone’s taste, nailed all the ceremony and official music with almost no direction from us, and kept the dance floor going nonstop. He even made a custom mix out of two versions of a song I couldn’t choose between, which was such a cool personal touch. At one point it was a struggle to leave the dance floor (even for a quick restroom break, lol) because every song was another favorite.
Jamaal actually mixes live and listens to the crowd, so the music never felt cookie-cutter, it just flowed. From ceremony to reception, he knew how to read the vibe and catered to it. We got so many compliments about him. I’d recommend him 1000/10 to anyone looking for a DJ who knows how to read the room and make the night unforgettable!!!

Jamaal is as professional as it gets. I've done several events with Jamaal and he always delivers a very professional setup, sets up meeting with the clients months in advance to go over timelines, music choices and more so the client gets everything they need to make their special day perfect. I would highly recommend Jamaal for any event that you'd have.

Every step of the way Jamaal reinforced that he would provide the music my clients wanted as well as host the event in a professional manner without the hokey gimmicks many "wedding DJ's" employ.
