Charging people who don;t show up to your wedding

FYI I will NOT BE DOING THIS. Just thought it would be an interesting post for a Friday. So everyone once in a while you hear stories of people who have sent their absent guest a bill for their plate....
What do you do when most of your guests do not give a gift or card?

I can't help but feel really hurt and insulted that most of our guests did not give a gift or a card. My husband and I eloped with our immediate family and had a full scale reception at a later date....
