We have about the same amount of time to plan as you do and right now we're still trying to commit to a budget. This will be my third marriage but his first so I have an ideal what goes into it although I never did have a real reception at either previous wedding. Most importantly go with an amount agreeable to both of you and go from there. Right now we are looking at venues we like, visiting them and getting quotes based on our rough guest list.
