I am a retired elementary school teacher (retired early). I am artistic, and so are all of the members of my immediate family. I planned my oldest daughter's wedding last year. It was held at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC. This is very close to High Point, NC. I am currently planning the wedding of my younger daughter to be held at The Inn at Crestwood in Boone, NC. I am in the middle of an online program so that I can get my certificate in Wedding Planning. I will be finished in April of this year. 2738 days agoThis is my daughter's wedding I am planning, so while I am dealing with contracts and vendors, she and her fiance are asking the people who will be in the wedding party if they can do so. Olivia, my daughter, is looking on pinterest and gathering pictures for the florist and the person making the wedding cake. She will also start working online to create her save-the-date cards as well as the wedding invitations.

2738 days agoI am a wedding planner myself, so this comes a little easier for me. Right now, I am negotiating the terms of the contract. I encourage all brides and their representatives to read all contracts carefully before signing. I am also researching all the vendors on the preferred vendor list that provided to me by the venue. I am deciding on who I want to work with by exploring their work online and then emailing the ones I choose to check for availability.

2738 days agoIt took us about two weeks, but we finally contracted with a venue. Now, we can move forward pretty quickly. We contracted with The Inn at Crestwood in Boone, NC.
