I have been to some weddings where they have given out wedding favors and some who have not. Is this customary to give out a favor of some type?

Is anyone else doing flower seeds as a wedding favor? We are having our reception in a garden so I figured it would a cute idea but I have no clue where to find the seeds in bulk at because I want to make my own packaging for them. Any ideas???

I had a perfect day with many thanks to the helpful forums here. I'm an event planner by trade and Type-A by fault, so logistics came pretty easy to me (and by "easy" I mean - budgeting from my own bank account sucked but at least I wasn't flailing...
