Fabulous experience! Well-run, very accommodating, very reasonable for the price. Lots of things included that we would otherwise have had to purchase or rent!

My wedding here was absolutely gorgeous. This place makes a great background for all wedding, bridal, and engagement photos. The wedding coordinator has great communication. The security are on point here and are very welcoming when it is your big day.

I had a rather large guest list and the Schermerhorn is a great place to host a wedding reception. The hall is beautiful, the acoustics are great, it's got indoor and outdoor spaces, built in bars, a stage ready to go for the bridal party, and much of your typical rentals already included (tables, chairs, serving-ware). Schuyler was great to work with. Very easy to talk to and got everything done. It was a pretty much a perfect day!

We fell in love with the venue the moment we stepped foot in it. It's a beautiful building. We definitely had issues from the beginning however. The person we were working with was not responsive to our emails and phone calls and was also very inflexible. We were told that anything can be done/worked around before we signed the contract but that really wasn't the case after we signed and paid the deposit. We had to work around many things to have the wedding and reception we wanted. We did get assigned to a new person and she was great. The food was amazing. It was so nice to have everything in 1 place and it also included all the linens, tables, chairs, plates, silverware etc. which definitely causes ease and keeps your vendor list at a minimum.

This is a pricey venue but it is a dream venue! They were initially flexible with our budget. They dealt mostly with my wedding planner, who said they responded quickly and were very professional. They executed everything seamlessly the day of the wedding. The food was amazing and the servers were great! If I had to do it over again I would not want to book through my planner because they wouldn't really deal with me and they ended up leaving off extra fees and details even though I specifically asked them to give me the total before the wedding. It ended up being stressful after the wedding. It's better to just know what's going on yourself.

The space is beautiful and they provide chairs, cushions, tables, dishes, silverware, etc. The pricing was very reasonable. There aren't many options on space - it's the huge grand hall $$$ or the smaller Mike Curb room. My ceremony was in the lobby, cocktails in 2nd floor atrium, and reception in the Mike Curb. Weddings over 120 would need to be in the grand hall. They are very picky about noise since the smaller room is only available when the symphony is playing. You do get access to most of the building throughout the day and symphony guests arrive after the reception starts. Beautiful bridal suite for an additional charge.

I had a difficult time getting things organized with their event coordinator...many unanswered emails! My wedding planner kept everyone on the same page. They did not provide outdoor signs (they were supposed to) so my guests had a hard time finding the correct entrance. This made many guests late and we almost had to delay the ceremony. Parking is difficult but that's just typical of downtown.
