Outstanding

The Adalea is a beautiful place for a wedding! The owners and wedding coordinator are outstanding. No matter the time they always answered my calls or questions that I had about the big day. They absolutely out do themselves to make sure that the couple gets the wedding that they ask for. There is multiple staff on the day of the wedding so that there is an extra hand at anytime. I could honestly go on and on about how amazing this venue is! I highly recommend having events here, you won’t regret it!

I was lucky enough to marry my best friend and the love of my life this past September (2017) at The Adalea. This particular venue was my first (and only) choice, choosing to have our wedding here was one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process! The property is GORGEOUS and is such a staple in the community in which my husband and I grew up. They offered so many options for the actual location of the ceremony and even the reception. We had a much smaller, more intimate, wedding and we chose to have the ceremony on one of the many porches of the beautiful house, and the reception inside the house. We didn’t end up using their gorgeous banquet hall at all, but I can say it’s very spacious and so pretty, had we had a larger guest list we would have absolutely utilized that beautiful piece of the property. Literally everything that this venue has to offer is beautiful. (Even the bathrooms are pretty, it’s insane) It’s such a warm and inviting place when the wedding is over you will not want to leave, I’m sure of it.
Their team helped tremendously in preparing for our big day. In the time leading up to the wedding, they maintained communication the entire time and they were always there to answer all one-million of my questions. The venue provided so much for us, from pews to reception tables, chairs, linens, silverware, champagne flukes, even mugs for our coffee station, literally too much to list. They all worked so hard to make sure our day was perfect, even saving the day with music when our musician didn’t show.
I am a photographer and have shot many weddings and events at many different venues (The Adalea being one of them), and not all venues photograph perfectly. However, The Adalea does. Everything on and around the property makes for gorgeous photos outdoors. The house as well as the bridal suite have such beautiful natural light sources and is exceptionally decorated, it literally photographs like a dream!

Not Covid safe despite assurances

Attended a wedding there in October. Because there were so many older family members, the bride was adamant that it be outdoors and that any indoor option be socially distant and masked. I would not have attended if I had thought otherwise.

The service was outdoors and even though it was not raining, the reception was set in a packed reception hall. The bride was promised air cleaners and plenty of airflow. There were none in sight so I assume only the regular HVAC system. Many guests promised what I was promised and seeing where the reception would be left before dinner.

We went inside and the STAFF was not wearing masks. When I asked, I was told it was not required. The tables were set regular distance. 8 per table shoulder to shoulder.

I am not covid crazy or I never would have been there in the first place, I have been to many restaurants this summer with tents that were open and air cleaners. That is what they should have had or at least be honest with the bride that they did not cafe about the health of the attendees and would say anything to get a high guest total for the guaranteed.

I leave with a husband on chemo and a 95 yo relative. I would not have traveled hours to attend if I had thought this was a possibility. Now I am stresssed
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
