  Russell is fantastic. He captured the "happy" all weekend long and the entire wedding party and families had a great time working with him. Complete coverage - always on time and produced beautiful images.

  Simply wonderful. I have absolutely no negative comments for Russell or his work as a photographer. The engagement session was fun and the photos turned out great. I had him do my bridal portrait shoot on the same day I had my hair and makeup "practice" before the wedding. He was able to have the photo transferred to canvas with added "brush strokes", have it ready and on display at the reception. He stayed til the very end of the reception and captured some wonderful shots. He was so easy to work with, we all forgot he was there! Non obtrusive but fantastic shots. The wedding ceremony turned out wonderful as well. He is an amazing value for the quality and options. His personality is hilarious and puts everyone at ease, no one can be stiff around him. I would recommend him highly.

  Such a fun and helpful guy! we had such a great time working with Russell. The pictures turned out beautiful. We saw five other photographers and he is the only one that actually gives you bang for your buck. I would suggest anyone use him! He came to the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception. He also does an engagement session but we didnt do that just because we didnt want one. So great use him!!!

  Russell did a terrific job on our daughter's wedding ! The engagement photos were great, and the session was not drawn out. He made the photos after the ceremony a speedy process with such ease for all the family. The "candid " shots before the ceremony were thoughtfully chosen; they're some of our favorites! The reception pictures were a special treat. Great experience!

  Russell is great to work with! He does beautiful traditional wedding photographs and is very affordable. He is very accommodating and puts the bride at ease.

  (Shaw wedding)Russell was awesome. He was professional as well as very easygoing and friendly. We love the way our photos came out and the fact that we could share them with everyone on his website. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer on our special day! Thanks Russell!

  great photos and very fun to work with! he's quick and to the point so you dont spend your whole day smiling for the camera...even my husband and the groomsmen liked working with him! very professional and very quick with turnaround time!

  Russell is awesome! Easy to work with, great photos, quick responses. Not intrusive of the ceremony or reception. Amazing to see what photos he took--you hardly knew he was there!

  Russell did a great job with the wedding. He took pictures of all the bridesmaids and bride/ groomsmen and groom getting ready before the wedding, the usual outside pictures of all the families, and pictures during the ceremony and reception. He also did our engagement photos, which turned out awesome. He is very professional and friendly. He is also very accomodating to what you want, whether you want a bunch of funny pictures or a lot of pictures with friends who couldn't be in the wedding, etc. I highly recommend Russell if you want a great photographer who is not pushy or bossy and is okay with taking your suggestions.

  Russell Hays is by far one of the most talented photographers in Memphis. He captured my wedding and everything about it perfectly. My pictures are flawless and I will cherish them for a lifetime. I do not have one complaint with Russell. He strives to accommodate all of your requests and wants to be original and not have just the typical wedding shots. I loved all the candids he captured on my wedding day. It's wonderful to look back and remember those moments not just in memories but with pictures as well. Absolutely spectacular.

  We were extremely pleased with our photographer. He took our engagement and wedding photos. He was open to our ideas and suggestions for both sessions. He also took so many and captured every moment. His price was very reasonable too. It was the best package for us.

  Excellent photographer! Takes a lot of great shots. My only problem is that he has a set of shots that he has to take and it is hard to get him to do any extra. There were a few pictures that didn't get taken that I had requested. Also there were several shots of people by themselves that we didn't even know. I think there were four of one person. There were also not many candid group shots.

  Russell was willing to hop on board for anything I had in mind to capture moments I would be able to keep forever of our big day. He was flexible with my schedule and VERY reasonable pricing for the quality and package he has to offer. Russell is awesome! I would recommend him to every bride.

  Russell is great to work with. Be sure as with any photographer, to let them know what photos you would really want to be taken at your ceremony and reception. My mother and I were upset that he missed me and my brother dancing as well as me and my little cousins but we did not tell Russell to take those shots so it was not his fault. Russell is flexible with the packages he offers and I feel that you get more than your moneys worth...especially when compared to other photographers in the Memphis area.

  I had heard great things about Russell Hays, but I ended up pretty dissappointed. I had given him a list of pictures I wanted taken, but I guess in the shuffle of one of his assistants taking pictures many were not taken. I was unhappy with the quality of pictures of his assitant. I was also very disappointed with the organization of my photo album. He was helpful in resolving some of my disappointments.

  I would never recommend Russell Hays for any friend's wedding due to the following reasons.
  1) Up until a few days prior to the wedding, we were under the assumption that he was going to show up, and instead a woman appeared with no heads up from Russell. He called a few days before the wedding to go through all of the people who needed to be in the photos but when the lady photographer showed up she didnt' have a list and she had no idea who needed to be in what photos and what photos i wanted taken. The lady then proceeded to sit around and eat and didn't take any "artistic" shots which is why I chose Russell in the first place.
  2) He had also forgotten to bring the signing board to the reception site and because of his negligence we have no record of all attendees.
  3) The photo book was also a disappointment. I have never seen a photo book that is not put together by the photographer. He sent us loose photos and a photo book like you would buy at Target. He also sent us a disk with "thumbnail" size photos on it so we cannot see a thing to even select the photos to begin with.
  He was such a disappointment all around with his lack of professionalism and follow-through.
