The best money we spent on the wedding was the incomparable Mango Season! We found them through a very serendipitous Spotify search, and I reached out asking if they were free to play for my wedding. As it turned out, they also had wedding planning services, so we decided to hire them for both their music and their planning.
To say it was 'money well spent' is an incredible understatement. Annie and Curtis made the wedding planning process smooth, which is no small feat considering how the wedding was originally planned for early 2020, and ended up going through three date changes and two and a half venues. Be it pandemic restrictions or venues closing for renovation, Mango Season was always on top of the chaos that came our way. When our first venue told us about their prolonged renovation, Mango Season provided a list of alternatives and scouted them out in record time. When new Oahu gathering restrictions (10 indoor, 25 outdoor) hit the week before our wedding, Mango Season negotiated with our new venue to help figure out a solution where we could have everything outdoors. Not only that, but they kept on top of our rental contracts, adapting everything seamlessly to fit the new venues, finding new rentals to cover new concerns, as well as drafting up new layouts to accommodate our unorthodox reception plan.
Not only were they spectacular before the wedding, but they were incredible during as well. With Annie's detailed timeline in hand, everyone was on the same page on what would happen when. Annie and her team were pneumatically efficient and organized in shepherding the guests, communicating with the wedding party, handling test and vaccination checks, making the favors, and more. The day of and the days after, our wedding party and family continually commented on how amazing Mango Season was at handling and coordinating the day.
Three paragraphs in and I haven't even gotten to the music yet! Needless to say, Mango Season Music blew me away. Before the ceremony, Curtis played some great Hawaiian slack key guitar. He also learned three songs for the ceremony - two instrumental covers of vocals, and one vocal - and pulled them off with aplomb. During the dinner portion of the reception, we had a jazz trio and they played an great set of tunes: Moondance, Fly Me To The Moon, Mango Season's own Lanikai Moon etc. They have a really fun funky, jazzy, groovy style, and my guests loved the songs they played! Some of them even asked me for a list of all the songs haha. Not only that, but for the dance party portion, they put together some of my favorite songs into an awesome dance mix. Curtis also made a great emcee, smoothly transitioning through each part of the reception.
At the end of the night we were both elated by how the day went, but also a little sad, because it marked the last day that we'd be working with Mango Season, who we've been working with for more than two years! Seriously, do not hesitate to hire them; they are incredible planners and fantastic musicians. There are so many other things they did that I don't have the space to touch on -- all the suggestions Annie had to flesh out my rough wedding vision, their storeroom of items (signage, gift boxes, candle holders etc) so we didn't have to spend on more rentals, the wedding planning tool they had (Aisle Planner) that kept us on track and organized -- even now as I think more and more things are coming to my mind! We can't express how grateful we are to them for making everything so perfect!

We chose Mango Season as one of our first vendors, and it turned out to be an excellent decision!
Curtis made the whole process so easy right from the start. He set up a virtual meeting to talk through our ideas and helped us figure out what we wanted, even when we weren’t sure ourselves. He sent sound samples to help us pick the right mix of instruments and even offered to edit the song for our choreographed first dance.
On the wedding day, their performance was amazing. So many guests complimented the music! They adjusted perfectly to the vibe of the event as it went on, and Curtis even acted as the MC for transitions, which he did naturally. Even with our venue’s strict sound rules, everything went smoothly because of their careful planning. Curtis also went out of his way to help. He visited the venue beforehand to take notes and offer layout suggestions, even though we didn’t ask him to. This extra effort gave us so much confidence that everything would go well.
We can’t recommend Mango Season enough! They didn’t just deliver amazing music—they made us feel supported and cared for every step of the way. It’s clear they care about making weddings special, and we’re so grateful for everything they did. -

We hired Mango Season to provide the music for our wedding at the Hau Terrace at the Halekulani Hotel, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the start, working with Curtis (one of the owners) was a breeze. During our first video call, we could tell he was professional, personable, and someone we could trust to deliver an unforgettable musical experience for our special day.
For our ceremony, Curtis performed acoustic guitar and vocals, which perfectly complemented the intimate setting of our ~50-person wedding. For the reception, Mango Season transformed into a fantastic four-piece band for the dancing portion of the evening. They played for about two hours with a short break, and I genuinely wish we could have had them play even longer, everyone had a blast on the dance floor.
Mango Season learned four new songs for us, plus a surprise rendition of "Brown Eyed Girl" with custom lyrics—"Green Eyed Girl"—in my honor. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch!
Curtis went above and beyond by coordinating directly with the Halekulani to ensure all the details were in place for the band. He even took the time to help my brother (our officiant) with the pronunciation of a few Hawaiian words in our ceremony script—a gesture that meant so much to us.
We can’t recommend Mango Season highly enough for weddings or any special event. -

Excellent band and super down to earth!
Thank you so much to Mango Season! Our guests had such an enjoyable time listening to good music. Curtis was amazing and easy going and very responsive. The band even learned a new jam for us. They were very accommodating and even did a site visit before our party. Really enjoyed having them and hope to be able to throw more parties with them as our band in the future! Mahalo! -

Annie and her team at Mango Season Weddings were an absolute dream to work with. We booked their partial wedding planning package with day-of coordination and would do so again without hesitation. Their impeccable organization, attention to detail, and reliability kept us on track and stress-free throughout the entire planning process.
Annie's keen insight into the intricacies of weddings truly made our day exceptional. She steered us through all numbers of small decisions that we otherwise would have just been guessing at. The best day ever!
We absolutely loved Mango Season! Curtis and Annie were beyond wonderful! We had to postpone our original date due to Covid and they were so
accommodating with the changes. We planned our wedding from California and Curtis always was great with communication. The day turned out better than we could have ever imagined! We had them sing live and Curtis even learned our first dance song and it was so beautiful ! I get teary eyed thinking about it . We also had a DJ for the last two hours of our reception. That was awesome! So well done! Annie MC’d and she did a magnificent job! We even had hula dancers at the reception. This was really a dream come true and we couldn’t have had it with out Mango Season! Thank you so much Curtis and Annie! -

We originally wanted an intimate ensemble for the ceremony and dinner. The DJ for dancing.
We soon realised how much ambience a band gives for the whole event. We went with mango season as our wedding planner mentioned they were very good.
After meeting with Curtis , he was so helpful on planning, song selection, timing or order of songs.
The night was incredible and the music was so on point. We had a lot of guests comment on how good they were.
We are so happy with the package mango season had to offer our wedding. Thanks again. I can’t recommend highly enough. -

The best decision we have ever made for our wedding!
Hiring Mango Season (Curtis and Annie) was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made for our wedding. They were very professional, flexible and quick to answer the questions we had. They created such a perfect cozy/jazzy atmosphere that we dreamt of for our wedding. Many of our guest (of course including us two) seriously fell in love with their voice. highly highly highly recommend hiring them. Thank you Curtis and Annie for making our wedding so perfect! -

First of all, we are so grateful to have been able to get married in February before the COVID-19 pandemic. Mango Season Weddings added the perfect magic touch to make our wedding day extra special and completely unforgettable!
We hired Mango Season for our wedding and honestly, it was some of the best value we got for our money! Annie, Curtis, and their entire team are absolutely amazing and were so easy to work with! We selected the Day-Of Coordination Package and it provided more than we could have even imagined. Although we already had a general vision for our special day, Annie was able to give us a list of recommended vendors to use and helped us refine what we had in mind. Annie and her team provided guidance along the way but didn't ever step on our toes or reject any of our ideas of things that we wanted for our wedding. Another huge bonus to working with Mango Season is that they offer an inventory of additional wedding decor and supplies that you can use on your bid day as opposed to trying to shop around and buy items that you may only use once.
A month before our wedding day, Annie and Curtis really helped take over all the planning and coordinating with our vendors. This was SO HELPFUL especially once all of our family and guests started arriving in town. Having the whole Mango Season crew on our side on the big day made everything run so smoothly and actually allowed us to relax and enjoy our own wedding! Their attitudes and upbeat energy kept everything so positive throughout the whole planning process! We absolutely love Annie and Curtis and would 1000% recommend them and their entire Mango Season team for any event you are planning! -

If I could have my wedding again (with the same husband, DUH) over and over again, I would hire mango season over and over again each time. They brought the house DOWN. Considering how UNFAVORABLE the weather was (flash floods, pandemic becoming almost official), Annie and Curtis (and their team) were beyond amazing, professional, ELECTRIC and insanely talented. Curtis was incredibly nice and so pleasant to work with. He really understood what my husband and I were looking for. They crafted our reception so well and ran it sooo smoothly. Our friends and family could not stop raving and talking aout them. They even learned several songs for us and that made our day even MORE special. Unbeknownst to me, they even planned a surprise performance for us with my best friends. I mean, C'MON!! You work with musicians for their talent, but it's extremely special when you feel comfortable with them and feel like they understand you!! They can truly sing any genre. Any. Annie is out of this world awesome and talented. We were all SO sad when it was time to say goodbye. Hire. Them. Now. -

Annie and Curtis (and their team) were TOP NOTCH and made our wedding such a special and perfect day! From the very first meeting to last minute venue changes (!), Annie put us at ease.
Our family and friends raved about how much they loved the event, and it was just the perfect amount of everything for our intimate event! From decor, to coordinating with our other wonderful vendors, to making sure we were ok during the event, to being so responsive to our questions during the planning stages, to their can-do attitude and their awesome positive energy - we couldn’t have done this without them!
From the bottom of our hearts, please hire these wonderful people! Not only are they so so so professional, but they gave us the right vibe and warm fuzzies throughout! Honestly the best decision to hire them for planning and for music!!! Curtis made music planning and MC so easy. The live music during our ceremony and cocktails was phenomenal. DJ was great too! They even pulled off a last minute decision to get a fire knife show for us! Annie and Curtis - you guys are the best of the best. -

GAME CHANGER for our wedding!!
Curtis and Annie seriously made our wedding the perfect wedding experience we were dreaming of. Early on from their quick communication, eagerness to work together, and flexibility to learn meaningful songs for us - this dynamic duo is one you won't want to overlook for your wedding. We did the full package with acoustic music before/during the ceremony, Hawaiian music during cocktail hour dinner, acoustic/jazz music during dinner, and then UPBEAT throwbacks & top hits for the dance floor. They blew it out of the water and reassured us that a DJ would never compare. Curtis even learned a few rap sounds that we requested!! Every guest raved about how fun our wedding was due to the engaging MCs (Annie & my uncle) and the AMAZING band led by Curtis. Seriously can't thank these guys enough and will highly recommend them to every family/friend getting married in Hawaii. You guys rock!! -

Mango Season was amazing! Not only did they provide an energetic and customized end of the night full band performance, but they also provided acoustic guitar for the ceremony, and MC services throughout the night. They took care of the lighting and sound and were incredibly professional and easy to work with. I would never consider going through anyone else and would highly recommend them to anyone for their big day! -

Mange Seasons Wedding made my day
Annie was so easy to work with. She was always on top of her schedule, and made sure that we were following the timeline. Her and Curtis were amazing at our wedding. We had them do acoustics for cocktail hour and at first some of our guests thought that we were playing from music player cuz they were so good at singing. Annie and Curtis sent us a CD of their album as a small wedding gift afterwards and I still play that in the car pretty regularly now. -

We used Mango Season as the entertainment for our Annual Holiday Party. They went beyond the entertainment. They helped me with the whole entire program, games, and unforeseen technical issues that day. I am the events coordinator at my work and I get pretty stressed out during events. Annie and Curtis were so ON IT. That gave me some peace of mind and I was able to enjoy myself that night. Thank you Annie, Curtis, and the Band for the best holiday part yet!
